The Skinner Box to end all Skinner Boxes
I kind of hate you right now. I was nearly late for work today because of this. But on the other hand, I did get a good score ;)
It's crazy isn't it? I'm up to half a quadrillion cookies total now, and for what, dammit? Just to make more fricking cookies.
Started off crazy addictive for me. Sat there for hours just watching, occasionally using the old "trembling finger" technique when I'd find a gold cookie that up'd my multiplier.

Now that I've got around 185 million lovely cookies being cranked out every second, the process has slowed down quite dramatically. The upgrades are costing a LOT that usually take around an hour to get, and a lot of them aren't even helping that much.
It's the golden cookies that really make the difference. Hyperfast clicking gets replaced by keeping an eye on the screen from time to time and clicking the golden cookie whenever it turns up. Just don't anger the grannies.

I um...
What kind of repercussions can I expect?
I've already taken two of the granny upgrades that had the red warning text, but I thought they were just being cute.

When they get angry you start getting bad-luck cookies instead of good-luck ones. Eventually you get the option to 'appease' them temporarily, and then you get an upgrade that appeases them for good. I rather like it, it adds a small story element to the game.

Usually it's Shadow of the Colossus. Just riding on Agro and traversing the Forbidden Lands, and stabbing the shit out of innocent giants.

Recently however, it seems to be Fallout 2. Well post game anyway, because at that point, me and my followers are obscenely powerful. So we just wander the wastes fighting random encounters and exploring places like the EPA.

Heroes of Might and Magic III. I could sit and play that game all day. When all other games fail me, I can always sit back and play some HoMM3.

Garry's Mod.

There's nothing quite like spawning a line of Ponies and Vocaloids and mowing them down with a Minigun. Or running them over with an APC. Or spawning a T-Rex in the middle of them and watching it eat them all.

I find furiously clicking goes well with the Bastion OST [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzGEiER7mkc]. And BTW what the f**k is going on with those grandmas...

Depending on the mood either Heroes of Might an Magic 3 or Master of magic. Both are just plain relaxation while I crush the helpless computers

Streets of Rage Remake survival mode. I guess it's just 'cause it loads quick and it makes feel like a suplexing wizard.

I play World Series of Poker: Full House Pro. Find a good cash game table with people who can actually converse, and it's easy to spend hours just chillaxing.

Well, there are a few:

Audiosurf, Plant Vs. Zombies, The Sims 3.

Adventure games can also be relaxing.

It used to be Resident Evil 4 - play up until the village onslaught or so. I'm more than fed up with that game by now though, and never really replaced it with anything else.

Proteus. Minecraft. Both get me pretty good, especially minecraft with its music. I never put the minecraft songs on repeat so when they play they are always special :)
