sneaky spellcaster. It worked for me in oblivion (chameleon to epic % with enchanted chameleon armor = 95% of the time I sneak attack... then do it again). I've grown to love those types of classes (My favorite DND class is the beguiler).
Focuses - sneak, illusion, enchantment, light armor, sword (gotta be prepared when mp runs out)

Gonna start with the most thematically appropriate character I can think of- male nord barbarian type, with two handed weapon specialization. Throw in some destro magic to round it out.

Second will be a full on mage of unknown race. Things will die around me.

Last is going to be the perfect assassin, probably dark elf or wood elf, and I'm going to kill EVERY ENEMY I FIND without them once spotting me.

I spent a lot of time as a redguard in oblivion so I dont want to do a repeat performance

I'm thinking of going as an argonian assassin/thief

I love the new look argonian. I'd love to see an argonian with the moustache option cause it would look like a really bad attempt to blend in (im thinking family guy - brian)

Breton Defensive Battlemage. Summons and healing and whatnot. No Destruction magic, likely.

Probably a Dunmer Warlock--Warlock being a class I coined myself.Heavy armor, relying on spells, and using a blade when they fail me.Different from a Battlemage, which tries to blend physical and magical affinity, because a Warlock keeps them distinct--just uses high defense, spells, and a sword when things get hairy.Dual-wield spells, switch to a sword and spell when enemies close in.Of course,I'll be enchanting heavy armor myself.Heavy Armor,Blade,Destruction,Alchemy,Restoration,Conjuration,Alteration.

A male Khajit that specializes in magic and weilds a sword for foes at a closer range.

I used a stealth based character in TESIV:O and it got boring so I want something different. Also magic is awesome.

I plan on doing something similar to what I'm doing in Oblivion at the moment; a male Khajiit specializing in archery, one-handed weapons, light armor, lockpicking, speech, and restoration, with block and sneak most likely getting a lot of practice in as well.

Male Nord either 2 handed sword or sword and shield. That what I think right now. Might change but that a solid first character,

Not sure about the race, but I'll be a melee class. I've always liked the straight approach "Kill him with my metal death penis" but there's never too much variety it that. I'll probably pick up destruction to make the most of the dual-wielding system and forget about shields in lieu of basically having a flamethrower attached to my left arm.

Here's the breakdown of skills I'm thinking:
One-handed
Heavy Armor
Destruction
Smithing
Enchanting
Alteration
Sneak
maybe lock-picking, if we're still doing that eight major skills business.

Yeah, I know sneaking while wearing heavy armor doesn't work too well but I can strip or carry a stealth set if I need to. I'll prioritize protection over the finesse.

Nord. They are fast and strong. I will be using one and two handed, destruction, light armor, lockpick, agility or whatever makes you faster and jump higher this time around. Although this thread would prosper if you posted it about a day after the release so we could tell you what we DID do.

Male Woodelf. Duel daggers and a bow. Going to be a "Rogue". Security, Sneak, One Handers, Bows, Light Armor for sure. What else I take will be dependent once I get the game.

Gona be fun on the bun.

I always enjoy combat type classes in Elder Scrolls games, Skyrim will probably be no different. As for race, not sure yet, I always liked Redguards, but I was also thinking about doing a play as one of the beast races just to change things up a bit.

Argonian Adventurer by the name of Muldoon the Clever, some one else came up with the name I'm just using it. A Jack of all trades type really, except the bow, I don't plan on using the bow. I'll stick to fire balls and short swords thank you.
