I am going to go with my classic Elder Scrolls set up, Khajiit with bow as main weapon and NO armour and awesome sneak ability. And if someone gets up close and personal... say hello to my one-handed AXE!

As with Morrowind and Oblivion, I'll be a Bosmer, with Archery, One handed blades (now Dual blades maybe?), Light armour and some social/speechcraft skills. My character hasn't really changed much since Morrowind, i just make him older and greyer so it feels like an ongoing saga, which is cool. He'd say "Another day, another undead infested dungeon... Im getting too old for this...

Most probably my standard Redguard who fights in heavy armor with a sword and shield.
Spells looked pretty awesome though, so I'm a bit intrested in trying that direction for my first time... but the sword and shield guy is a must!

I'll pick any race and be good at everything, since there's no reason not to be. Let's face it, unless you gimp yourself on purpose you end up as a Spellslinging Sneaky Warrior with maxed Armor, Magic Resist and a ton of fortrified stats in every Elder Scrolls game. Yeah, you can play your Sneaky Archer or whatever for the first few levels and that's cute, but eventually you'll either branch out into other skills as you start to cap off your primary areas of interest or you'll be deliberately ignoring them for roleplaying purposes...
I will gimp myself on purpose. Games like this lose me the moment I become a jack of all trades.
Amen to that. Being awesome at everything in an RPG is just boring.

Wood Elf, Thief-type character. Specialise in Marksman, Daggers, Security, Sneak and Illusion. Or at least their incarnations in Skyrim.

Probably a Female Woodelf Assassin/Scout. Gogo Ranged attacks, stealth and alchemy. Wonder if it will still be as powerful as it is in Oblivion.

Right I've got my first 3 sorted but not the order yet, I've not really been keeping up witht he changes to skills and such so some stuff may be wrong.

1) A thieving/assassin Khajiit who either uses a bow or an Illusion spell and dagger combo depending on the situation. Main skills to level will be (based on the Oblivion 7 skills idea,I know it's different in Skyrim) Light armour, One handed weapons, Marksman, Illusion, Sneak, Security and Mercantile. A rogue who always puts his own wealth and health first.

2) A Nord who is basically just a viking, huge weapons and thick armour, possibly with a bit of magic for healing and extra firepower. Main skills here are Two handed weapons, Heavy armour, Block, Armourer, Restoration, Destruction and Speechcraft. A gallant knight/paladin type person who upholds the law no matter what.

3) (This guy has been more vague until now, I've needed a chance to sort him out) A Breton with Gandalf-y type skills, lots of magic but with blades and probably an armour skill too. This time my main skills are Destruction, Restoration, Conjuration, Alteration, One handed weapons, Light Armour and Alchemy/Enchanting.

Nord
Male
I'm going to edit one of defaults a little bit to look like the Thor in the movies.
Skills:
Two-Handed Blunt (Hammer)
Heavy Armour
Destruction Magic (Lightning specifically)
Restoration? (For healing self after long battles against dragons xD
Basically, the good guy that would be the character portrayed if Skyrim became a movie... Beast, viking/norse-like, and loud. And did I mention beast?

Kahjit
Male
I dunno about the looks yet.
Skills:
Marksman
One-Handed
Illusion?
Going to be my evil character. Stealthy, quiet, and fun.:D Uses bow from afar, finishes off with either two swords or two daggers. Rogue cat, basically.

Unknown
Male
Imperial maybe? Breton? Nord? One of those.
Skills:
One handed (sword)
Blocking
Restoration
Marksman
Heavy Armour
Speechcraft
Basically, the guy from the trailer I guess. A honourable knight, follows the law. Tactical. My favourite type of character. Just adding it because I love to play as said character.

Mutherfocker. Charisma and Huge wang.

Call me a tosser, as I get paid advertisements if you do so, but I really don't care as far as elder scrolls goes. I just do destruction and blade.
And I'm actually buying skyrim, even if it's the third best game this year, ahead of MW3, the formulaic MW, but behind Portal 2's puzzles and humour, and that other game I bought, which I will tell you if the escapist pays me enough...

I'm either resurrecting my Nord sniper from my last Oblivion playthrough (Helga Bloodbane, the world's tallest thief/assassin FTW)

or

Making a Khajiit or Argonian; I really like the look of the new skins for them, even if the Argonians are a bit creepy.

My Nord character really worked for me; they were an expert in both swords and archery and used stealth to get in close undetected before starting a bloodbath, but I also used Restoration regularly too.

As for an Argonian/Khajiit, I've considered using a stealthy magic-user, with a dagger in one hand and invisibility stuff in the other.
I'll be resurrecting a Nord character too. Valdyr, the wolf warrior (admittedly the wolf warrior thing is coming into its own on Skyrim) I imagine him to be used to being in castles and dungeons and stuff and having to use whatever sword or axe or whatever that happens to be lying around. So that'll reflect in his fighting, like he may frequently change his sword for another he finds, and randomly pick stuff up temporarily into his offhand (barring a two handed weapon). I'll try to make him a Jack of All trades, but melee and simple defensive/offensive spells prioritizing. If the archery in skyrim is more to my liking, it'll certainly be better for the character. He was called Valdyr in Oblivion, which is Norse for wolf. So if they really are putting werewolves in again, that'll go great with his character. Especially since he's got a fairly rugged appearance in my mind.

Argonion male. As for class I guess "General douche" fits me well, since as soon as I play any RPG I pillage everything, and steal everything, and do everything, and... Basically, I'm going to break that game worse than sad people break online play.

I love how broken Bethesda games are...
