Simple enough topic, on every single front, looks, stats, typing and movepool, what is the worst pokemon you know?
Mine is Parasect

He has a reasonable attack stat and Spore; that's it. He has two 4X weaknesses (one is a 5X weakness to fire if you get the Dry Skin ability) and is the slowest fully evolved pokemon in the game, tied with Steelix and Slowbro.
He's a goddamn fire hazard, but on the upside, he is very smiley.

Abomasnow. It has the most weaknesses of any monster in the game, combining the two worst defensive typings (grass and ice). It has stats that I wouldn't call bad but certainly not good enough to make up for it. It's also a goddamn yeti that conjures up a blizzard anywhere it goes. This is awesome.

I've also used a few unevolved Pokemon throughout the story - Dratini in FireRed and whenever I start with Piplup I never want to let that cute little guy evolve.

Also since this is a Pokemon thread and if I say it enough someone might eventually do something... DON'T LET STEALTH ROCK BE A SUPER EFFECTIVE HIT.

Does this include the judgment of its future evolutionary status? Because if it doesn't, almost nothing beats Magikarp.

It looks like a retarded beaver and a wannabe ratata.
The only reason I ever have one is to have all the HMs so I can travel around. I have no regrets.

Most bug Pokemon are just useless!

Poor stats, poor movepools, and tons of weaknesses.

Alot just need evolved/alternate forms to become useful.
(quite a few pokemon arguably need evolutions/alternate forms due to power creep really)

Cappy: Sting like a bee

Yeah. Thats about right... -_-

There is no worse Pokemon.

"Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled Trainers should try to win with the Pokémon they love best." - Karen, Johto Elite Four

But if we had to choose, Unown is absolutely terrible. Poor stats, only one move that can potentially only have a base power of 30.

Other notable bad Pokemon would be Delibird, Stunfisk, Luvdisk and Dunsparce.

Oh and male Combee, they are literally useless as they cannot evolve into Vespiqueen, only the female Combee can.

Fun Fact: Parasect is technically the mushroom, not the insect. After evolving, the parasitic mushrooms on Paris have completely overtaken the host's body. The insect has been drained of nutrients and is now under the control of the fully-grown mushroom. Its eyes have become pure white resembling those of zombies, likely due to its being possessed by the mushroom.

To me that would be Exeggutor and Abomasnow since those two got seven weaknesses which is far too many for a Pokemon to have (this is mainly cos of their grass type).
Sure skilled players can probably keep those two alived against the effective types but for us regular joes I don't want to spend on switching out or using potion but to fight!!

Gotta go old-school. GEN 1 Porygon - the biggest cost/value disparity in the whole game. Practically useless, only has three standard attacks, initially couldn't evolve into any form, and the price you paid for him (9999 coins) wasn't worth it unless you were a diehard completionist.

Blasphemy! Parasect is so cool! I will admit he's not very good, but there have to be worse things...like, um...Heatmor! Which is also really cool, but unfortunately it's damn near unusable.

My personal choice has gotta be Stunfisk. Its stats are unremarkable, it doesn't do anything that well, and it's one of the ugliest Pokémon I've ever had the misfortune of finding. I think Gen V is pretty awesome, on the whole, but this...this is a low point.

Hoppip. And his evolutions. I spent so long training him thinking he would get a good attack move like solarbeam or giga drain when he got to his third evolution . . . NOPE, Chuck Testa.

Making a team of awful pokemon on purpose while playing sapphire.

Planning on having:

Masquerain (I think this has the best stats, but its movepool is just dire)
Sableye
Spinda
Chimecho (haven't gotten yet)
Nosepass
Luvdisc (Haven't got yet)

I completely forgot about mawile, but Sableye is bad enough...

I did want to go for the more unusual pokemon, ones that nobody ever bothers with because they are hard to come by.

Surskit and nosepass especially was the ultimate pain in the ass to get.

What are you saying? Porygon is awsome , especially in gen 1 . She can changer her type , and recover half her health , what more do you want? You have everything there to make a viable strategy!

Of course afterwards porygone 2 and porygone Z blew her ot of the water afterwards .

Edit: and don't no one dare say smeargle , or i'll challenge you to a duel . Smeargle is the best pokemon periode

In regards to exeggutor...

Exeggutor used to be amazing, easily the best grass type in gen 1 and 2, with its massive special attack and all around decent bulk against physical attackers. What do I mean by bulk? Well, Exeggutor has 6 resistances as compensation for its weaknesses, so you can still put it out in front of a fair amount of pokemon.

Using it right now though while playing crystal, and even though it's only stuck with confusion and egg bomb for damage, it still holds its own phenomenally, with confusion doing way more damage than you'd expect. When I can grab the Psychic and giga drain TMs, that thing will be a complete powerhouse. It also can defend itself in a pinch, since it knows reflect and hypnosis (couldn't wait for sleep powder before evolving it)

In regards to abomasnow, it has the two weakest types in the game (defensively), at least the psychic typing of exeggutor can compensate by giving it some more resistances. I am not fond of ice types in general... I would rather give a water type an ice move.

Delibird

I love it's design and it's present move is a nice little wild card.
Unfortunately it sucks in literally every other aspect, it has no use, none whatsoever.

wow, that makes parasect even more creepy to me.

my most useless pokemon has to be rattata. why use it when there are such better options.
