I think it's pretty obvious.
The entire 5th generation.
I kid, I haven't even played Black/White.

This is the definition of shit.

I would say Kricketune. Pretty much the same situation as Shanicus where I tried training one only to just say "Fuck this" and drop it out. That thing learned NO good moves in the early stages, and that's the thing; it's got to learn decent starter moves so you can train it farther! But no, I just did not like raising it at all.

Quite frankly, since the battle system hasn't changed much since it's original release in Gen 1, any skilled player can take even the arguably worst Pokemon and make it into a fighting beast. I'm personally choosing this Pokemon because it was literally an omen to the entire Gen before it was even released.

Tepig.

Okay, so I love Fire-types, and with every new Gen, I choose the Fire starter. Not the case with Gen 5. First off, a fire-type pig. Sorry, but Tepig reminds me of someone.

Yep, this is just a fire-type Spoink. Don't get me wrong: Spoink is great. I just wouldn't choose him for a starter, that's all. Also, another Fire/Fighting hybrid. Come on! Blazeken was a beast, Infernape was awesome, but Emboar? No. Just no.

So yeah, no Fire starter and I had to choose the other two. Oshawott is okay, but I don't normally choose Water starters (unless I'm restarting the game). So all that was left was Snivy, and so I went with it.

Most bug Pokemon are just useless!

Poor stats, poor movepools, and tons of weaknesses.

Alot just need evolved/alternate forms to become useful.
(quite a few pokemon arguably need evolutions/alternate forms due to power creep really)

Cappy: Sting like a bee

Yeah. Thats about right... -_-
In the older gens, for sure. There are couple decent bug-types around these days though.

Volcarona http://www.toplessrobot.com/3%20Volcarona.png is probably the best overall. Massive special attack and being part fire-type helps it avoid the usual "Oh god, I'm burning" moments bug pokemon tend to have. Unfortunately, stealth rock *does* do a number on him though.

Escavalier http://img.pokemondb.net/artwork/escavalier.jpg is also pretty beastly too if you use him right. Massive attack, good defense, and being bug/steel means he only has one weakness. However that means he dies if someone even lights a match near him. But everything else hits him normal, or not very effective.

As for "worst" pokemon... my first choice was Klink-klank, but since someone already mentioned him, time for the runner up.

Worst pokemon ever

I mean... look at it. It is literally a derpy looking ice cream cone O: Not to mention the fact that all ice-types suck anyway.

Actually, Darmanitan is the best fire Pokemon there ever was. I was rocking this setup with Sheer Force as his ability, which means if an attack has a chance to paralyze/burn etc. it gets done away with in exchange for %20 more damage. He has one of the highest attack stats ever, and he learns Fire Punch (chance to burn) and something like fire bite or whatever (ten less damage, chance to burn, used for extra PP). Then....I gave him a flame plate. +%20 MORE damage. He took out the Elite Four with OHKO's. I love him so much.

As for other Gen V's that don't suck, there aren't too many, I admit.
EDIT: Stat and power wise, I love a lot of the designs.

Yeah, not a huge fan of Gen V myself, but Volcarona,, Escavalier and Chandelure are awesome :D

Unique typing, cool designs and great stats if you use them right.

Delibird

I love it's design and it's present move is a nice little wild card.
Unfortunately it sucks in literally every other aspect, it has no use, none whatsoever.
In an analysis I read about it the person writing it said
'So if you want to use delibird, the best thing to do is try and trick people into thinking that its the pre-evolution of Articuno and see if it will do well in LC. Here's a tip: It won't.'
They also said 'You may as well run present as well; in any case, using delibird is a present to your opponents anyway'
OT: Gotta be Dunsparse. The analysis on smogon starts: 'Your opponents will stare in shock and horror at dunsparse- shock that anyone is actually using dunsparse and horror at the thought of being paraflinched (the only set dunsparse can run) to death'

Flareon is pretty much the lamest Evee evolution.

Special attack is terrible, but the vast majority of it's learned skills are special attack :D

This useless piece of crap!

It's the ultimate gimmick pokemon, it has 3 different forms considering where you use him, and evolves into two different forms depending on it's gender.

All of them are just awful , they have a really crappy movepool, and even crappier stats, not to mention all of its forms are ugly as hell.

It's just so freaking unnecessary!

Annnnnnd fixed

OT: Dunsparce, that weird thing is terrible, at least it stays out of your way by being so hard to find

This is madness! Dunsparce is the bestest of all the Pokemons! Little bastard can fuck up the Elite Four all on his lonesome.

This guy:

All he is is a stepping stone from the adorableness of Torchic to the utter badassery that is Blaziken

If you want a Pokemon which is genuinely useless then it has to be Absol:

Such a wasted design right there

Well, I haven't played any games/watched the series/read the mangea after the first season because I just lost interest when it became so many Pokémons, but to me, my worst Pokémon is probably Magikarp, because first off it took quite some time for my (at the time) tiny brain (it has since shrunk a few sizes) to actually get it to turn into a Gyarados.

No, I didn't know that, I thought uber Pokemon were only the ones banned in things like the Battle Tower etc.

I really meant wobbuffet as in looks, not really stats.
