An occasional glitch in Gears 2 when for a split second Kim's face covers the entire screen when the game reaches its checkpoint and your with Carmine.

Far Cry 2 has made me require a new pair of pants once.
Sneaking around only to hear the "WOOAARRHHHHSCREECH BRACKABRACKABRACKA" of an armored jeep flying full speed only to turn around at the last second and scare the fuck out of me.
How do they make that tire screeching sound, anyway? there isn't a single paved road in either of the sandboxy maps.

Occaisionally when playing fallout 3 and I hear ghouls but can't see them. Then I turn around and jump at the sight of about 10 chasing me.
when im playing morrowing and im walking through the middle of ABSOLUTLY FUCKING NOWHERE, then, the game glitches and it starts lagging and then it is fine and i let out a sigh of relief.
Then I see it.

A giant Freakin Demon that i swear was a deadra.

then im dead ...
While this may sound not scary, then appaertly you havent play morrowind for 8 hours straight till midnight and seen some of the shit they have in store in that game.

This is an odd one for me, considering I don't generally scare. It begs the question why I like horror games and horror movies so much, but that's besides the point.

Near the beginning of the game you're wandering around in an apartment complex and your radio starts crackling. I pull out my gun and slowly walk towards the source of the sound only metal bars like a jail cell keeping me from going towards the monster making the noise.
The monster? Fucking Pyramid Head. But he's not coming after me, he's just...standing there. You can't even tell if he's looking at you due to the mask. There's something phenomenally unsettling about that. You're in a horror game, you have a gun, you're prepared to shoot things to make them stop attacking you and here's the nastiest thing you've see thus far just staring.
Finding a corpse with James' face on it is pretty unsettling as well, but if I ever have a nightmare about Silent Hill it's going to be about Pyramid Head staring at me from behind bars.

My friend and I were playing Fatal Frame (the original) and Broken Neck was harassing us, so we skedaddled off to the Rubble Room.
