Achieve my teaching degree/license (which I should complete here in about 2 1/2 years), find a suitable home in the local area and start my career.

To graduate from college and marry my girlfriend. Then finish writting my comic book, finish writing my novella, and learn to stop procrastinating. Oh and lose some weight so I don't die of a heart attack before I can really enjoy those goals.

My goal in life, is to never become someone who would set themself a goal in life. Why bother? Is it not enough for you that you exist? Do you need to do something big to justify your existence to yourself? Just do what comes naturally, it's alot nicer than trying to meet your own stupid expectations.

Seeing as how achieving my goals results in improving myself and thus increases my enjoyment of life, I'd say that goals are something to strive for. Goals can be something as simple as getting through college, or getting a job. In that sense, achieving goals is pretty much necessary for life to not be a waste.

If I don't get a good job, or a degree, or a promotion...is my life then a waste? Of course not. There is no way to decide what constitutes a "wasted life". Infact I take personal offence to people who would suggest that making money, or taking drugs, or that shaking my ass in a club is somehow a necessary part of a worthwhile life.

In this world, money is pretty much a necessity. You need it to buy food, clothes, shelter, etc. In most cases, without a job (or some other means of earning money), you'd end up as a bum, or as a 30+ year old who lives in their mother's basement. Neither of those two scenarios are desirable.

I'm currently in art school in Montreal studying drawing and painting. It is my hope that I could potentially get an internship of some kind, eventually leading to a career in concept art, at Ubisoft.

Do cartoons and comics that actually mean something, that will get people thinking in a new point of view, maybe even uplifting. shaping up and cleaning up my bad habits so I can be bearable to live with.
Currently my goal is to get something out of the philippines. And not just feel like the free loader of the team. (Shit, 22 hours traveling yesterday, I smelt like a bag of asses.)

I believe in always setting goals. These being daily, weekly, or whatever time frame. However with any goal I set I also set a plan of action. It is one thing to say you are going to do it...but another to actually do it. My goals currently on the large scale.

1. Get my golf handicap below a 10 this year.
2. Collect at least 3 new business cards every week for contacts for work.
3. Read a good book at least once per week based on my schedule.
4. Finish Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
5. Get a better understanding of playing online with some of my favorite games.
6. Staying involved with family and friends by making at least 1 phone call per week to those closest to me.

Oh, and like insanitybaron said...make a lot of money and have my own private army LOL.

*sigh* I'm trying to finish a book. It's taking forever and has become the source of my escalated stress(this and my other goals such as college, and my constant battle with weight).

This. Goals and expectations are thrown at you from everywhere, cast it all aside, enjoy life and just do what comes naturally.
