It is the mark of Samurai Jack's clan. The series pretty much followed me through my childhood, and I still rewatch it sometimes. It's brilliant, but that's not even the point of the symbol.

The character of Samurai Jack defines everything that I find compelling and cool. Bushido and the way of the samurai has fascinated me since I was very little, and I find it incredibly fascinating that a person can define one's entire life from an honor code of the warrior.

And that's a bad thing...? I can see your point, as it wouldn't express exactly what is unique about you. Plus it could end up looking like one of those tribal tattoos/ Chinese writing tattoos people get simply because they think it looks cool.
