Ever played a game in a way it's totally NOT meant to be played?
Just because it was more fun or for the lolz

Which ones? and how?

Assassins Creed 2 for me, I would always kill a few civilians, wait a while (so it wont disconnect me) and re-do my killing spree.

+

DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3
With a few drinks and friends, we would put a weird romantic style song and try to punch\fall\do random stuff to the rhythm, fucking hilarious!

I tried to kill every single officer in Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires (cept my force which was just Lu Bu's group in the Divided Land scenario)
I found out if there is only one enemy left, you cant kill them without invading.

Id jump off Tenpenny tower using VATS to kill as many people I could below before I died. (record is 3)

Playing games such as Metroid Prime, Fallout 3, ReBoot, etc and finding where you can encounter a glitch of a character falling through a floor and to the other side of all the textures, meshes, and their kin in what me mates and I used to call the white rooms of games.

The Super Mario 64 kick the shell and have it become a homing shell to follow you all of the stage, seeing how long I can go.

Mario Bros, trying to kill the other player and not the enemies.

Demon's Souls, going in as a Black Phantom and helping people by killing their enemies before they find me before the player tries to kill me.

Playing a twisted "chase me" game with raiders in Fallout 3. Help, being chased benny hill style by about twenty raiders... or, "how many super mutants can i get to chase me into big town?"

Assassin's Creed II. Play through it without killing anyone aside from assassination targets. Kind of hard to do at first but once you get the hang of it you feel like friggin Batman or something, disarming them then laying the smack-down with your fists (When they "die" they roll about on the floor in pain, rather than actually be dead).

GTA: Vice City. I just done the weapons cheat and let the good times roll.
Same. A session of cheat-weapon rampaging is always good for the soul.

In Canis Canem Edit (Bully for all you non-PS2 folks) I'd just try to get to places I wasn't meant to, glitch the character, get him stuck, etc. Despite what most videogame testers say, breaking games is fun :D One highlight was trying to backflip onto a roof using my bike at the trailerpark - it turned out there was an invisible wall so I fell down, inbetween this car and the side wall of the house. Trying to get back on the bike when it was stuck glitched Jimmy to hell... I guess you had to be there...

Just in general, causing glitches in *any* game is hilariously fun :D E.g. Thief: Deadly Shadows, The Sims 2, Black and White

It honestly makes my day to find that the alpha/beta testers haven't done their jobs properly :p

Me and a friend used to play a 007 game on the PS2 and set elaborate traps for each other using trip mines.

Hmm. Would playing Super Mario Bros. or Mega Man for the high score count as playing the game correctly or not? It's there in the game, but no one plays platforms for that.

Forgot one. Most any straight to the point FPS I get bored easily, so I'll find some way to amuse myself in ways that is oft counter-productive to the game play mode. Halo CE Death Match in Blood Gulch? I'll spot where someone is, be a reasonable distance a way, get to a hill, and then randomly jump up and down so that it becomes a game of Whack-A-Mole with sniper riffles. Good fun at parties.

Gah I remember playing Midnight Club 3 Dub Remix with my best mate as kids and making the coolest cars we could, then dumping ourselves into the Tokyo level in splitscreen and playing tag in the aquaduct system. Anyone else tried this? It's hella fun
