I would love a proper Zombie Survival game - realistic enemies, damage and survival sytems in place. I had thought Dead Island was going to be it, but from the looks of it... just no.
yeah seriously dissapointed by dead islands gameplay vid.. as (it may have been yahtzee) said, they should get an award for biggest drop in interest from trailer to gameplay vid!

I think something like farcry 2 would work quite well in a zombie/ post apocolyptic enviroment..

A real life, first person, sandbox, zombie survival game. One where there is a day night cycle, ammo isn't found in every mail box, and finding enough food is a serious concern.

I had an idea about using actual city maps to recreate towns and then have everything run 1:2-1:3 scale for moving between cities. Naturally this would include forests where you could try to survive by hunting and scavenging.

I'd like it to be an MMO, but the cities need to be damn near barren, with the exception of the flesh eating horde, to keep the feel. At one point started mapping every thing out including the system requirements and for the scale and complexity I want I don't think it's possible yet.

There have been games that come close to some of my desires and the best being Call of Duty: World at War's zombie survival mode. Where it failed was the increased hp scaling and the huge amount of ammo.

Dead Island also looks close but a little too Left 4 Dead meets Dead Rising with some of the combo weapons that have been shown.

My other dream is for a first person Pokemon game, follow me here. Picture Oblivion, drop the magic add pokeballs and you have to wander through the country side finding pokemon in the grass/desert/mountains. No random encounters, so when a pokemon runs you can try to chase it. For the actual pokemon fights I was thinking something like super smash bros. Where the level of the pokemon reflects the power of the move and how much hp they have and you can set what the b button combos do for every pokemon based on the techs they know.

I know Nintendo will never make this, they make way too much reskining the previous games.

I would love to see indie developers try and tackle more 3D cell shaded graphics like the N64-PS1-Saturn era games. I always felt like those graphics could apply to sandbox-style environments, and I also want to see more games that have mission modes like Goldeneye.

Sometimes taking a step back to basics is good for the games industry. Let me see mission-select screens again. Let me see long, linear levels that have complex puzzles rather than walking through endless terrain. Let me see worlds where you can build and construct the environment, but give the gameplay more complexity than minecraft. Give it a purpose.

A first person Pokemon MMO would be the best game ever made... but they will never make one.

A game set in the America that is in the book the Stand by stephen king where you have to get from onside of america to the other anyway possible, meeting looters other survivors, or even the other survivors could be other online players, but you are given the freedom to go whatever path you choose. not going to happen the map would have to be massive for it to work.

A version of Deus Ex 2 that isn't a mere shadow of the original. Human Revolution looks good, but I still have to accept that at the end of the day, Invisible War is still in canon. Also, of course, Half-Life 3. Seriously Valve, where is it? You're hiding it aren't you?

Of course, this is all irrelevant. They already made Robot Unicorn Attack.

a real racing simulator. you start at the bottom in karts and you need to work you way towards f1.
Hells yes. I was hoping Codemasters would do that if they ever made TOCA 4, but then they went all "Grid" on us...

I'd also like to see a Metroid game where, instead of playing as Samus, you play as a bounty hunter hired to hunt down Samus (after the actions of Metroid Fusion). You'd get to completely customise your suit/abilities, customise your ship, and then search various planets for Samus, kinda like an intergalactic Where in the world is Carmen Sandiago?.
And then you'd take your custom hunter online, to fight other people's custom hunters!

Baldurs Gate 3, end of discussion
I heard they were actually making this..

considering baldurs gate 2 was (IS) one of my favourite games of all time, i do NOT want to see this! I could only be disappointed..
baldurs gate 1- 2.5 was a single character's epic adventure, it had a start.. then it finished..

it would be baldurs gate in name only... (i also doubt any studio would be brave enough to have the old isometric viewpoint)

and from what iv heard, dragon age might aswell be baldurs gate 3...

me? i want a game where you play as an alien having their homeplanet invaded by humans (starship troopers).. the planet is mostly forest, and you have a special staff that serves as a grappling hook (spiderman 2 swing mechanic).. then, in combat, it becomes a flail :) you swing the analog 360 to swing it around etc... i was imagining shooting it into a guys face, then using his corpse to bludgeon his comrades... ooooh baby.. I have it all designed in my head.. i just need to find a studio / funding :p
Well obivious I don't want to continue same story ark, but I want the gameplay/great rpg convo, also I consider nwn2 more closely related to BG1-2 rather than Dragon Age. I also want same graphic style aka hand drawn 2d not spiky polygon 3d...

Some collaboration between Bioware and Bethesda to make THE MOST ULTIMATE RPG OF ALL TIME! EVER!
Biowre's characterisation and squad combat and Bethesda's free-roaming, do what the f*ck you want gameplay.

Never going to happen though
That would actually be pretty badass. I'd buy it...as long as Bioware was in charge of the testing. I like Bethesda's games more but at least Bioware's actually work.

I would really love to see Yahtzee's game idea "Mankind Has Yet To Recognize My Genius, The Game" become a reality. He's mentioned it in a couple of reviews and it sounds like the chocolate and peanut butter of gaming. I'm surprised that there aren't any publishers/dev studios willing to invest in that.

A blend of X-Com: Enemy Unknown and Evil Genius with the complexity of Dwarf Fortress set on Mars.

I'd buy it even if it would cost 500 USD. Then again considering the development costs and the size of the target audience it would probably cost more than that.

Still worth the 14 DVDs it'd come on though.
