I can so relate.

Recently I played this GURPS campaign (think D&D but less stupid). I was consistently getting my ass kicked but then suddenly the enemy ogre in front of me rolls a bullshit critical hit and decapitates my character. Needless to say I was pissed (and got kicked for whining about it later)

in resident evil 4, walking right into one of those exploding wires they put across trees in the beginning. standing near one of those things and shooting it, point blank. also, running right into one of those Salvador guys was pretty stupid since i always try to watch out for those...

1. turn. I check my inventory and see that against all odds I have a magic lamp with me. Rub it a bit and I get my wish.

I wish for a fairly powerful artifact that I should be able to equip after a few level ups without danger to my health.

Unfortunately I didn't check my alignment and my wish for a opposite aligned artefact angered my god. He struck me down with lightning.

I didn't live to see the end of my first turn until I was killed.

And this is fairly normal way to die in Nethack.

Hm, pretty much any death in COD: Modern Warfare. I have this thing where I tend to lay down on the spot when my health gets critical hoping that I won't get hit. =-/

Hog-grenade-double-kill-suicide on Halo 3. Epic to watch, painful to experiance.
Also having grenade rebound off a zombie on there a kill me.

in halo 3, blowing up a mongoose when someone was riding it, the damn thing flies forward and hits me in the face therefore killing me... woot(!)

Aww, gutted! I've done that before on Mercenaries.

I bought it the other day but haven't played it yet. What you said sounds inviting cause I expect to die a lot.

Good because you will. A lot more than you're even expecting.

OT: I was playing the original Mercenaries and I called in an artillery strike whilst doing a mission for the Chinese. The damn thing was so inaccurate and had such a large range that I didn't have time to get out of range of the target site and I got killed by my own air strike.

In CoD MW I accidently side steped into a missle silo on countdown but at least they didn't get a kill which is kind of a plus but not really.

It wasn't my death, but I was there and a prompted the auto-save.
My friend was playing Abe's Exodus and he was being chased through a narrow tunnel with a low roof, so his only route of escape was "ROLL as fast as you fucking can!"

I told him to quick save just in case he had any jumps or whatever to screw him up, so he did, in quick saving he accidently let go of the crouch button, stopping his roll, butting Abe's head off of the ceiling, resulting in him being mauled to death by mutant dog things.

Every time we loaded the quick save, it would happen, we watched it a good 20 odd times.

I swear I glitched out Burnout: paradise once. I was going like 10km/h cause I was hunting for jumps I haven't gone off of yet, and tapped a slow traveling moving van. The game then went into crash cam and my car went flying down the street like I was going 400km/h and smashed into the thing.

Getting blown up twice in the same death. Yes I managed to do so. In overlord: raising hell I triggered a bomb in the midst of a fight, suddently realising that I couldn't get out because I was surounded, I braised myself for the blow.
Well I died, but as those who played overlord knows, the deathsequence is wery long, and while I was dying a bomb that was placed next to the bomb that killed me was ignited and blew up, the suprising part is that even though I was killed by the first bomb, it seemed as it was the second bomb that actaully killed me as that was when my minions started screaming and I sunk into the bowels of the earth.

in Deus Ex I died from smoking too many cigarettes once... and in golden eye there was a glitch and I went flying hundreds of feet in the air, came down, walked around for a bit then died...

In Halo 2 I got killed by lots of glitches, and just a few minutes ago in Resistance 2 there was one of those eggspawned Chimera in the igloo base in Iceland (after blowing up AA turrets and fighting through legions underground) who hit a glitch and was running without moving, I walked up to it, it started moving again, and killed me in one attack for no possible reason (I was perfectly healthy!!!).

I was playing Halo 3 on "The Pitt" and I decided to throw a grenade at some explosives. I didn't notice that the explosives were close to traffic cones... The cone got angry and killed me (Boom! Headshot!). Dumb cone.

i was playing infamous and surfing on the train tracks.the train hit me and sent me flying but instead of hitting the building i ended up inside it so i had to gigawhat hammer the "wall" to kill myself so i could respawn.
