Your E3 Dreams

Simple question, what game/console/other thing that, if announced at E3 would make you extremely happy? How would you want it to be announced?

Here's my E3 dream:

It's Nintendo's conference, Reggie starts to show off some crappy Mii game that nobody cares about. It's as generic as possible, and it looks absolutely terrible. But there's something off about the trailer. Random things aren't right, clocks going backwards, the head of a background mii not being there, etc. It's just enough so that the audience notices, but questions if they're bugs or actually there. Halfway through the trailer the lights go out, and the screens turn to static. Reggie acts like he has no idea what's happening. A scream is heard, and on the screen the trailer for Eternal Darkness 2 appears. It's a proper survival horror game with improved sanity features and lots of mature, disturbing shit.

Doubt any of this will happen, well maybe Nintendo's ones might.

Valve is having a conference, discussing some updates to Steam, and possibly some add-on features for Dota 2, then suddenly... the lights go out.
The screen turns to static, before cutting to a CGI trailer. Two figures... walking towards each other... who are they? Is it a new IP with co-op? Is it an existing IP with new characters?
They reach the center of the screen, where a spotlight is shining. They don't step completely into it, only enough to see what they are holding...
A gravity gun, and a handheld portal device.
THE SCREEN CUTS TO A SIMPLE NUMBER.

Haven't heard anything on Watch Dogs since last E3, and I want to see more!

I dream of the moments when something I wasn't paying attention or didn't even know it existed, appears out of the left field and gets into my most wanted list. Moments like the announcement or showcase of Half Life 2, Fallout 3, Beyond and Prey 2.

News like new consoles or trailers of games close to release are heavily typified and a dime in a dozen, the only reason I see the conferences is for the surprises.

I got goosebumps on my arms just reading that. Man, wouldn't that be something?

Microsoft: to stop their current trend of trying to make the Xbox an "entertainment hub" and not a game console. "See? Our biggest announcement this year is an exclusive game! Not a deal with ESPN, not the fact that we get Call of Duty DLC earlier, not a streaming service, AN ACTUAL 360 EXCLUSIVE GAME!" preferably one that we don't know is coming like Halo 5 or Gears of War Judgement.

Sony: No idea what I'd want. PS4 details, but we know that's coming. Some Last Guardian details, maybe.

Ubisoft: Watch Dogs for the WiiU. That game is just SCREAMING for Gamepad implementation. I can't be the only one thinking that.

EA: Battlefield Bad Company 3. Smaller maps, but in exchange there's far more focus on destructible environments. There's a lot more I'd want EA to announce, but I'm going to stay both positive and realistic.

Nintendo: Hooo boy have I got a list, but I'll keep it simple...

Besides what we know is coming, like the new Mario and Smash Bros and Retro Studio's latest game, how about some love for some other franchises? New F-Zero? New Star Fox? Custom Robo plz?

How about a little more advertising for the new IPs you did make last year? Pushmo and Crashmo were good. Harmoknight looks like fun. Sakura Samurai was decent. Shame nobody ever heard of them. You know one way people WILL hear of them? Announcing them at E3. Makes you look like you're embracing the digital market AND addressing that "Nintendo needs new IPs" complaint.

Unrealistic? Metal Gear Solid HD collection, but instead of Peace Walker, the WiiU version has The Twin Snakes, so there's actually a Metal Gear Collection with 1, 2 and 3, all in HD. With off-TV Gamepad support so I can play all three on the little screen.

I'm just going to throw this out there so if anyone from EA's finance division is watching hopefully it'll give them some ideas:

1. Set up some medieval stocks
2. Sell rotten fruit and veg at a stall beside the stocks.
3. Fill stocks with every EA CEO past and present.
4. ???
5. Profit!

Hey, they could even rig up rotten fruit filled tennis ball machine linked to a webcam that fired every time people watching the livestream donated a certain amount of money to EA, so you wouldn't even need to attend E3 to pay in.
It would make your company millions!

Oh, serious answer? Ok then.

What I'd love to see out of E3 are a new breed of open world space games. There have been a few interesting ones on iOS, and I'd love to see those expanded on with the kind of features a PC could support.

Or even better, a new form of RTS that allows a grand scale all in real time, giving an entire continent, even a planet to fight over (Yes I know Planetary Annihilation is coming, no that is not what I mean).

Sadly though as E3 is little more than a marketing platform for gimmicky peripherals, living room PCs pretending they are still consoles and games about shooting foreigners, I doubt there will be anything to grab my interest there, who knows though, anything is still possible.

A Persona 5 announcement would be nice, and maybe some more SMT games for consoles, rather than handhelds. Or maybe a Final Fantasy 9 remake for PC, but now I'm just dreaming.
