My first video game experience was probably this wierd little computer game my parents had bought for us in the 80s in which the player controlled a little robot that captured creatures in a net... but that may have come later.

My first mainstream video game experience was Super Mario Bros. for the NES. It changed my life forever.

Rogue Squadron 3D for the PC (same as Rogue Squadron for the N64). I got it for my 6th birthday and played it nonstop for like a year. It's still on my list of favorite games.

Super Mario 64, you may have guessed, for the Nintendo 64.

And Rouge Squadron. That was so much fun, and had awesome graphics for it's time.

Dude I played that same game first too. I had forgotten all about it until this thread.

Oh and by the way, this thread has been done a number of times in the past. Please use the Search button next time.

Doom and an assortment of average shareware games and SNES titles, but it was the 64 that hooked me.

I most vividly remember playing Splatterhouse 2 on my older brother's mega drive, the TV blew up! It's still one of my favourite games.

Although before that I was obsessed with Green Beret on the Commodore 64. I think it was called Rush 'n' Attack or something like that in other countries.

Could well have been the Q Basic games that came with Windows 3.1, Nibbles and Gorillas. Also if you can count it as a game it might have been something in school where you typed the action you wanted some little guy called pod to do into the machine and he did it. My favourite action, which now should seem rather ominous, was 'Pod goes pop'.

When I was three, playing Streets of Rage 2 with my mum on the Sega Megadrive, and completing it with her every day for about a year. Bless her.
