You do not have any. We get it. Bad shit happens in the world and people do terrible things. But you have to ask yourself "Why do I keep saying this?" I see it under threads of all kinds. I saw it under a thread about the murder of a child. I saw it under a thread about how Activision likes to make money and I will probably see it under a thread about a clown telling a particularly bad joke. There are some times when I can understand this sentiment and there are many times where I say "Really? That's what killed your faith in the human race as a whole?" We have a problem on these forums and that is an incredible lack of creativity.

How many "Your Avatar x" threads do I have to see in the next month? How many "The item to your right is now X in Zombie invasion Y" threads are going to float around this year? And how many people are going to lose their faith in humanity because a frog got run over on the side of the street tomorrow? These stock threads and stock responses and all their faux depth and all their faux attempts at discourse really must be replaced with something better. I have faith in humanity Escapist. And I have faith in you guys. I have faith that we can truly create an intelligent forum where an actual response is generated to mildly displeasing news and where appropriate respect is brought to tragedies and it is discussed in a mature and adult manner. Please Escapist vindicate my faith. My faith in you.

TLDR: Fuck TLDR read the damn OP or dont post in the thread.
How many threads are going to be made simply to show that some whiny, pseudo-intellectuals know a few big words? Do yourself a favor--go out, get yourself a girlfriend (or boyfriend, I don't judge), and have some fun out in the real world for a while. Spend some time away from a computer screen and maybe you'll change your mind about mankind's creativity (or lack thereof). Go see a play, go to the opera, watch a street performer, just get away from the confines of electronic entertainment, and you might see where man's creativity truly lives.

Hating or losing faith in humanity reflects more on the individual who holds those feelings than on humanity as a whole.

I think it's rather scary that I can be considered an optimistic point of view in any community.

People CAN suck, but I have some faith in humanity. I mean, look at all of the scientific achievement just over he past 30 or so years. It's insane. And it's an exponential growth too. It seems like more and more is getting done in less and less time. I find it hard to lack any faith in humanity with that kind of scientific growth. And besides, humans are very responsive to others suffering, despite what some news stories will show. There are sickos, sure, but as a whole we are a very sympathetic species.

I try to avoid threads where people state how they think humanity is going down this long dark road. We have problems for sure, but it's not ALL bad.

"Hallelujah Jaffar!" (movie reference. Look it up if you don't know it.)

I'm glad somebody else feels the same way about all of these fucking repetitive fad topics and fad responses.

If I might paraphrase a well known figure on this website: 'If don't have any expectations you can't be dissapointed, only pleasently surprised.' That's the best way I can describe my lack of faith in humanity, that's not the reason for it mind you, just the way I view things. I admit though, I am getting pretty sick of threads where the author has given up on our species because of petty inconveniences in their social life. Really it's just the title, if they didn't equate the magnitude of the situation to something that has had some perennial altercation to their worldview, people wouldn't be as bothered. I also think people are to easy to confuse 'lack of faith' with 'pure unabated animosity', when really to me a lack of faith is just a signal of mistrust. I don't immediately loathe every person I come into contact with, I just have no expectations and play the cards I'm dealt with. And really, I don't need to have any faith in the 8 billion people that populate this planet, I know at least 100 people who I consider to be good and respectable, that's enough for me. As long as I can find a handful of people who's company I enjoy, it really doesn't matter if everyone else surrounding us is an asshole.

Tl; DR 'If don't have any expectations you can't be dissapointed, only pleasently surprised.'

My faith is just like that episode on South Park (I can't remember which episodes but it was when the parent were paranoid about their children getting kidnap and at some point the children became Mongol raiders).
It was somewhere on the line that while there are bad stuff that happening on the planet but it is still a small amount compare to the good and kindess including the small trivial good deeds. We simply are aware the good since the attention are focus on the bad. If you think I'm naive then so be it, that what my faith in humanity.

Its just a fad phrase from the misanthropic teenagers of the gaming community, they'll grow out of it. The over 20s who still don't see any good in the world though, well I pity them.
21 here, and I won't ask for pity, as pity is for the limp-wristed among us. People are shit, this world is ruled by greedy corporate sociopaths, politicians that use the poor masses as pawns in their nefarious game of thrones, and if it wasn't for relatively easy access to guns (in the US) and locks on our doors, only the most psychopathic among us would be living and breeding.

I have yet to see a good thing worth restoring my faith in humanity.

Most people where I live are either chavs who get in fights purely because they know they can win them or old people who condemn the entirity of a generation because of a few scumbags but I reaslise that despite the world being full of predjudice, cruelty and suffering, humanity is still worthy of life.

It's been a while since I've driven, so I've got a little bit. Seriously, driving makes me fucking hate people. Unfortunately, I have to go to the post office, which won't do much for my faith in humanity either.

Do I count? I wont really be over 20 (21) until august. If by then I suddenly become optimistic, am I saved from your pity?

I dont actually care if you pity me, I just want to know for curiosity sake.

(Im one of those people who dont see any good in the world. I assume you guessed that, but my assumptions have been wrong enough before to include disclaimers more)
There are exits in every gun store, high ledges and buildings and nooses you can make. Not seeing any good in the world you may as well take them, seeing little good in the world is fine.

To be frank, they only act like that to get attention so it's always best to just try to ignore them and move on, or if you enjoy it, which it seems many people do, chuck them an insult as to their maturity and continue on your marry way. Either they'll snap out of it or not, and if not, hopefully they'll learn that not everyone cares that they're blind and deaf.

I have faith in humanity to be human. I think it was Mark Twain that said the worst and best thing you can say about someone is that they are human.

Read the OP again I was talking about the creativity on these forums. Not mankind's as a whole. Way to miss the point entirely buddy. And to sounds hypocritical while doing. I shall take my pseudo-intellect somewhere else now.

i don't have faith in humans. Not because of the shit you said but because i stopped seeing humans as "Amazing" or "Unique" or "Evolved" I see humans as we are. We are beasts. We are savages. We are not fit to live on this planet anymore.
Then what is fit to live on this planet? We are a lot better than everything else that breaths on this floating piece of rock. Of that I can assure you.
lol. No we aren't. We rape the land and live off the teet of others rather then existing harmoniously with it. We are a virus. We aren't benefiting the world at all. How are we better then sharks or any other animal on the planet?
And you are assuming that everything else doesn't try to do that? Success does not equal horribleness. At least we don't kill babies for kicks. [http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/3323070/Killer-dolphins-baffle-marine-experts.html] At least we realize that slavery is wrong and have outlawed it. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyzEAlv--9Y] At least we put our food out of its misery before we eat it and have laws to prevent too much cruelty. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrike] Sure humans do bad stuff but at least we try to be good.

Awwwww, someone needs a hug!

You talk of ruthless power-mongering, corruption, and indifference as if they are the only thing in this world. People help each other all the time. My 6 month-old son smiles at me every time I get home and laughs. He doesn't care about how my day went, or how many units I sold, or whether my coworker is a scheming douche, he just knows Dad=fun and that's all I need to brighten my day.

Don't really see how you've come up with that conclusion. Because my child wouldn't be encouraged to make such rash generalizations as to say that everyone and everything has no good whatsoever in them or that anyone who disagrees with them would make a terrible parent? My "feel free to kill yourself if you don't see any good in the world" comment should pretty much go without saying, I've had my down days but obviously I've seen some good around, even if it's future good. I only really made it to make you see that you're exaggerating, and if not well in my opinion you really should kill yourself and I don't say that out of any form of spite or hatred.

Not that I'm at all interested in having kids at the moment, but ho well.
