I have 3.

Number 1 is a goody goody. He uses small guns, doesn't steal or murder, and always does the optional stuff.

Number 2 is a *****. She only uses melee weapons and is a murderous, thieving lunatic that only cares about herself and her own survival.

Number 3 is a master of unarmed combat. He tries to do the right thing, but sometimes gets the urge to kill or steal.

They're my people for going through the game with all 3 karmas. Each has a different set of game rules(will explain more if needed) to make the game more interesting.
Those are freakishly close to my characters also, except I went boy, boy, girl. Character wise they are almost identical. I didn't really roleplay them that seriously though, I just themed them but played how I wanted. My 3rd character mainly used unarmed but had 10/100 in every stat so I didn't have to play her the same all the time.

Also stealth armour + unarmed expert = game breaking. I stopped wearing it because it started to get boring but also it was a ***** to repair.

First one is the messiah of the wasteland. A great guy and loves kids. High lock-picking, speech, repair, and small guns.

Second one goes back and forth. I just do whatever I feel like. For example, I helped the slaves in the "Into the Pitt" add-on, because I chose not to in my first one. However, I didn't like the ending to that choice, so I just killed all the slaves to make up for it... High science, unarmed, small guns, repair, and barter.

Mine are always nice people. I often find it hard to play as an evil character because it's as if I'm putting on a farce of myself in an already virtual world. I'm a jerk in life, but I don't murder or steal or anything.

Afro Man is a kind and loving man, his trusty XuanLong assault Rifle helping him mow down the super-mutants of The Mall. His favorite drink is Wine, and he resides in a Megaton house.

Afro Man is a nasty and cruel woman. She runs through the wastes, Ol' Painless in her hand, keeping sure that others are safe - only because they're the only way she can get paid. Before she sneaked in in the dead of night, to rob the Republic of Dave of Ol' Painless, she would use a series of survival knives to slice her enemies new assholes.

And on the Computer...

After surviving the bizarre and frightening CUBE experiment, Jack Black obtained a beautiful suite in which he kept most of his possessions until he discovered the town of Arefu. Up until a few years ago, Arefu was a small and poor town. However, it grew larger and larger as more kept fleeing the wastes. After doing some work around town, he obtained the key to a small house... and in that small house was one of the most fantastic personal vaults ever created. He discovered a bunch of arms dealers near the Northwest Seneca Station, and he now uses his trusty USP almost exclusively. When he drove his motorcycle to a vehicle dealership, he purchased a boat (and a large warehouse to store everything). The boat contained a mysterious device, the likes of which allowed him to switch between the genders and ages. While Jack Black is generally a good person, his dealings with Butcher Pete have caused his karma level to sink lower than the lowest low. You see, Butcher Pete secretly cuts up people, and serves them to the residence of Tenpenny Tower. While Jack doesn't condone of eating people, he feels that those raiders and talon mercs that he kills shouldn't go to waste. So, his primary source of income is selling that "Strange Meat". He's made enough money to purchase his own Tenpenny Suite, and he was kind enough to disarm the Megaton bomb.

Tl;dr, Jack Black is a boss.

I get a little more involved in Fallout 3 than I usually do in games. My character was essentially a good person, out to find his dad and save the world. I learned that the world was now a hard land to live it so I specialized in heavy weapons (in particular flamers), science, lockpicking, repair and various other skills, learning everything that I could. Skill-wise I run strength 6, perception 9-10, agl 5, end 5, int 6-7, luck 5-6, chr 5-6. I forget exactly where everything was now. I had a very balanced character in the end though, proabably the finest rpg character i've ever made in any game.

I specialize in heavy and energy weapons, use a lot of stealth and have maxed out lockpick, science, energy weapons, repair and speech.
I have insanely high karma and Fawkes is my main partner (I have tried to kill him many times and only succeeded once after pushing him off a cliff using paralyzing palm on him, then unloading with the vengeance Gatling laser... it made me feel accomplished) I tend to wear the Chinese Stealth Armor or the T51B power armor.

I got three:

1) The Hero. Has a preference to energy weapons, vastly intelligent (allowing him a high science and medical skills), and also perfers Tesla power armor.

2) The Merc. Being a female, she developed a vicious nature due to living out in the wastes after leaving the vault. She doesnt feel comfortable calling any one place home until she finds her father. She steals and kills anyone and anything that threatens her or her survival, Deathclaws be damned. She generally uses small arms, using Chinese assualt rifles, hunting rifles, and 10mm SMGs. She isnt a hard-charger, however, and uses stealth and cunning to defeat enemies (having put her fair share of live grenades in pants). Though she is out for her self, she does do good deeds... if the price is right.

3) The *****. Name says it all, right after leaving the vault, she steals most of everything in Megaton before blowing it to Hell... all for a suite... which she got than killed for fun. She doesnt give a damn about anything but herself, she drinks, dopes up on anything and everything, and let a whole settlement from a supermutant attack, just for a cap or two. She perferes a good sword to any gun. and no computer or lock is safe from her.

I made up most of this just off the top of my head. The hero was my first, and had almost no side quests. The merc & ***** are the same character, the merc is nuetral and the ***** was made when I decided to blast megaton back to the stone ages.

Ex-military special ops member that lost his memory when the bombs hit. He survived in a half built, un-numbered vault along with the rest of his team due to an experimental cryogenic stasis.

He emerged with no memory of himself, who or what he was, nor of where he came from. All he knew was that he was a master at stealth and camouflage, was very well armed, and that there were bandits, robbers, and murderers harassing the few remaining Americans left alive.

Equipped with snipers, silenced pistols, some assault rifle training, a Dragoon camouflage suit, and he went off to do what he could to make the Capital Wasteland a slightly more bearable place to live.

Well I had a few characters.

My highest level was a good guy specializing in small arms. He generally wore a suit and fedora.

Next was a girl with blue hair that was totally evil. She used melee weapons and typically had Dogmeat, Jericho and two girls using melee weapons. She wore the leather armor with cut off shorts and an open midriff.

The next was a neutral character focused on unarmed combat. It wasn't really intentional, but I guess he looked a bit like Wolverine with a huge beard. He generally wore the Tenpenny security guard uniform.

I think the last character was energy weapons character. He typically wore green liberty prime armor if I remember correctly.

Mine's a lucky bastard. He goes from town to town, doing anything he can for pay and likes children. He sometimes gets a secret admirer out of nowhere that kills things for him.

He's go ten luck and sucks at all weapons types. He's just been so dang lucky, though. He's lasted longer then my other characters.

My character is basically a Wasteland James Bond. He uses energy weapons and power armor, but has perfect speech, hacking (science), and lockpicking abilities. He will kill you in a stand up fight and get you to tell him anything he wants outside of the fight. He is a messiah and always goes out of his way to help people.

I have one main character. He is for the most part a saint, uses energy weapons the most, has the winterized power armor, specializes in everything (except melee, stealth and unarmed) and all SPECIAL stats are at 10. Personality wise, he is an intelligent (semi nerdy) caring person who tries hard to do the right thing, who started out niave (or however you spell it), but quickly smartened up. He also has a short temper, but won't kill someone because of it, he won't put up with bullshit and definatly is vengeful towards those who have wronged him or those he cares about(though he did help Butch's mom, but roasted Autum with his Metal Blaster), oh, and he's used cybornetic implants to enhance his strength, perception, mental capacity (already was a genius before hand), endurence, appearance and reaction time. He believes in the D.C Brotherhood's cause, but doesn't share some member's racism towards ghouls and intelligent super mutants.

Yeah, I spend too much time on Fallout 3 if I put this much personality into my character.

Mine was the second coming of Jesus (Jesus in power armor and with a Gatling Laser, that is) for the Wasteland when he got the Purifier running and eliminated the last of the Enclave. But afterwords, he just disappeared, never to be seen again. In "unrelated" news a man with wild hair, equipped with only a wasteland wanderer outfit and a hunting rifle is out dispensing wasteland justice to those who deserve it.

I got Wadsworth to make my hair crazy, took off my signature winter power armor and my Gatling Laser, and went under cover just to RP a bit.

He doesn't, his character does. I don't enjoy sociopathically mowing down good people trying to get by with what they have, but my second character definitely does.

Fine, but how could anyone outside the Enclave who doesn't know what their true motives are sympathize with them?

How do you know they are evil, they are just trying to make the world a better place and bring back America to its former glory. They are underhanded and Propaganda Spewing bastards, but objectively aren't the brotherhood?

The Brotherhood actually helps people, GNR pumps out pro-Brotherhood messages because they are the ones protecting it and the DJ agrees with what they do, they keep the muties at bay and deliver fresh water to the wastes with the help of Rivet City. The Enclave on the other hand, have lied about the Brotherhood, killed entire villages and towns, tried twice to use biological weapons to kill off all non Enclave personel, experiment on humans, believe they have a right to eveyrthing in the wastes and can just take it and kill all who resist. Face it, the Enclave is evil.
