Simple question. What is your weapon F3 set. Mine goes like this.

Whatever I feel like screwing around with. Really. With 100 Sm. Guns and 100 Engy. Weapons you can do what you feel like. I even went and up'ed Big Guns, Melee and Explosives to 70. That being said, the list:

Rock-It Launcher: Teddy Bears and Baseballs. Sometimes books.
Baseball: The Bear Jew.
4mm Revolver: They never see it coming!
Frag Grenade: *throwthrowthrowthrowthrowDEAD*
The Break: In Capital Wasteland, cue breaks you!

Generally I'll use these:

- Jingwei's Shock Sword - THE melee weapon of choice
- Metal Blaster - Gotta love it for its critical damage and sneak criticals.
- Gauss Rifle - Knock back effect essential for dealing with Albino Radscorpions if you want followers to survive encounters with them.
- Dart Gun - for Death Claws ...
- Nuka Grenades
- Reservist Rifle - criticals (it's ALL about the criticals I tells ya!!)
- Backwater Rifle - fantastic critical rate and critical damage! My go to weapon.
- Perforator (Infiltrator rifle) - weak but perfect for silently picking off raiders or what have you.

... but when the mood takes me I use:
- A3-21's Plasma Rifle - you can't help but love turning enemies to goo ...
- Tesla Canon - have it carried by my follower so I can grab it and take down a vertibird at a moment's notice 8D

On another note though, WHAT a disappointment the silenced 10mm was! I couldn't kill a damn limping Radroach with that thing!

Potentially. If you save the ingredients until you have 3 Nuka Grenade schematics it's pretty easy to collect a large stash of them (I never drink Quantums and I horde standard Nuka Colas so with the Quantum Alchemist perk I'm never in short supply of ingredients)

MPLX Novasurge is an awesomely powerful gun! I can't bring myself to use it though. Along with some of the other guns Mothership Zeta provides I think it's just too powerful, especially for a pistol (although it does sort of make up for the general weakness of the standard plasma pistol).

Callahan's Magnum eh? You must like it a lot considering what you have to do to get it! - you know what I mean ... :O

Yeah, I usually only use the Blackhawk, because you can get that one so early, but someone showed me Callahan's once. And I knew for the one playthrough that I was going to be, ahem, not the most upstanding character in the game, that I had to get that at the very least.

I actually have a really hard time playing that way. It isn't very fun for me. But... if your are going down that route, might as well pick that bad boy up. I only have one save with Callahan's magnum. I sometimes load up that save just to use that gun. The scoped .44 is my favorite gun by far.

The Novasurge is overpowered in my opinion. I used to think that about the Alien Blaster, but at least with that one you have limited ammo. With the Novasurge, that problem is gone. I usually don't do Zeta until I'm in Level 25 territory though, and those albino rad scorpions are crawling all over the land. That's when I like to have the Novasurge.
