My last character was Sakuya, a sociopath with a strong, but misguided sense of justice. Most people who met her ended up naked and missing a head.
I tried to make her a good sniper but small guns were handy too. Sneaking was usually on the menu, leading to some amusingly epic kills.
Oh, and her trademark was the hat and glasses from the evil guy in Megaton (sorry, been ages since I played) which never came off since he died.

My three favourites:

Abe, a nerdy Asian guy with unkempt hair and tinted glasses, he specializes in energy weapons, science, and sneaking. He's usually found in a Radiation Suit, due to the fear of radiation living in the vault engraved into him. He has a strong sense of morality though, and will go out of his way to do good, like papa taught him.

Tommy, a smooth-talking con-man and a crack-shot with a sniper-rifle, he looks out for number 1, but isn't utterly heartless, particularly helping those who remind him of himself when he was younger. He's usually found in a pre-war suit, Trilby, and specializes in lock-picking, small-guns and speech. He's Caucasian and has meticulously greased hair.

Luther, a total brute, he's a gruff Hispanic character with a chip on his shoulder. He feels threataned by people with intelligence and will conquer this fear by bashing their head in. He's usually found in Raider Sadist armour and a Wastehound Helmet, or any special denominations. He specializes in Big Guns, Unarmed, Melee Weapons, and punching Super Mutants so hard their heads fall off.

These are just a few, I really enjoy crafting my characters, but these are my favourite examples of my Good, Neutral and Evil characters. They can really vary, I think I have a character for anything.

My brown guy, whom I've named "Brownie", started out as a good guy, maxed it out, then did the Unreal thing. It was "Time to start a killing spree". If it moves in the game now I set it on fire, or blow it up.... oh! I did lead an assult on children (Which I think you should be able to kill) with a fully stocked teddybear cannon.

Iv'e had too many charecters to list them, evil, good, neutral , varying done it all, Played pacifists, psychopaths and Patriotic Soldiers. I really like to vary and just see how the game pans out if I play as different charecters.

I had an all around nice guy named Phil. He started off with high intelligence and lots of small guns. He kept those but also got energy weapons, sneak, some melee, and some big guns. He was pretty skilled in a lot of things.

He also looked suspiciously a lot like Yahtzee. Too much that I liked. :p
Had the trilby and everything.

Captain honeybunch, the most feared man throughout the wasteland for his tendancy to kill 's first and than pickpocket later. A crack shot, with a high energy weapons rating and a high strength you wouldn't wanna mess with. He also has a plasma rifle named delliah, like to read skill books and likes long strolls through canterbury commons. And most of all, he has a debonaire mustache.

My character was a Black female who wore most of the game 101 armor an a cowboy hat I lifted off the sheriff of Megaton right before I blew it up. She was skilled in Speech lock picking rifles and heavy weapons.

I usually name the character after one of my friends. Then I make them a saint, maxing out lockpick, science and repair when I can. I keep medicine, explosives, energy weapons, big guns, small arms around 40-60 (they all seem to work great at 40+ at close to medium range anyway)

stats I run perception to 9, intelligence to 6 at beginning, later raising perception to 10, luck to 6 and agility to 6 (no idea where the bobble head is and I refuse to cheat and look it up, which isn't to say I havent looked things up before but the bobbleheads I like to find on my own). I keep the strength bobble equipped at all times.

Perks I usually go with educated, scrounger, fortune finder, better crits, finesse, bloody mess (this is mandatory in all fallout games ^^), swift learner(3), sometimes lead belly, commando, size matters(2-3)

For guns, I use mostly assault rifles and combat shotguns (preferably terrible shotgun). I do so love the flamer, omg with pyromanic and better crits it just rapes everything XD XD

I never place any points in speech or charisma, I just save alot and reload when I mess up on a conversation point. :)

edit: oh yea and I always go with waster and doom rider for hair, blue of course XD

i always play as an evil charchter with pale skin, jet black hair and a bad habit of shooting people in the face

always have 100 Small Arms, 100 Energy Weapons, and 100 Repair

but i never blow up Megaton because Tenpenny tower takes an extra 2 loading screens and a coversation to get to my room

I always end up with a mixture of the good guy who does all the quests for good karma. But end up with a Vault Devil because I kill all the characters to nick their stuff cause I suck at pickpocketing.

My points always go to Speech and Lockpick first, then Big Guns and anything that's left into Energy Weapons.

My good character is a feisty redhead called Cassie who's not afraid to kill but will stick her neck out for those more helpless than she. She specialises in small guns, science, lockpick and sneak. She can normally be found wandering the wastes wearing a regulator duster, bandanna and sunglasses with either a lever-action rifle or double barrelled shotgun over her shoulder. When kicking ass she will don winterized T-51b Power Armor.

My evil character is a suave smoothtalker who will as happily shoot and rob you as he would kill you. He can be found wandering in a pre-war business suit and fedora. He specialises in all kinds of combat and will use whatever's available to kill you, but not before he's charmed you. (At least I would do that if the game let me talk to Raiders)

My main character is just a typical out for himself kind of guy, good with small weapons, lockpicking and repairing. Just a wasteland survivor really, living off the land.

I find it harder then in the elder scrolls games to come up with different scenarios, here is seems it is just either good or evil.

Sounds just like all of my characters. I've tried other things, but I always end up getting bored with them.
