I chill out at the Mall. I go between the Washington Monument, the Underworld, and the Capitol Building all the time, as well as popping over to the Lincoln Memorial on occasion. There's just so much to do with so many different people there. It's great.

Reilly's Rangers compound was a good base of operations that I liked to hang out. Except for the dormitory/eating place. I got stuck in there for aaages.

I've been spending a lot of time stalking some NPC in the middle of Washington.

I just found some random woman walking around next to Super Mutants, completely harmless. I'm just following her around to make it all the more satisfying when, unbeknownst to her, I hide a deadly explosive in her pocket.

Other than that, I spend most of my time in Rivet City.

I've found that Tenpenny Tower smells the least like poor people. Got rid of Tennpenny too, because "old man smell" isn't any better.

I hang in Rivet city, as I do not have the patches, everyone in megaton ends up stuck in the walls.

any place full of enemies ... i get a kick out of living practically side by side with ghouls or mercs that have no idea that they have a ninja for a roommate

Right now, it's the rock creek caverns. Generally it's either megaton or the citadel.
