Modern Warfare 3, hardened, 4.5 hours - first & only time, died several times and got lost once, too. Piece of crap game series I never want to play again. I'm happy with CoD 1, 4 and Black Ops. Rest can burn in hell.
Can't we ever go a single thread without hating on MW3?

I've done a few Resident Evil speed runs (under 3 hours) but I don't have a record of how fast I did them. It certainly wasn't in less than an hour and a half though. I have speedran through Mass Effect and KotOR both in less than 10 hours.

I think the fastest I've ever beaten MGS4 was between 3-5 hours. Can't remember an exact time.

I think I also remember getting through New Super Mario Bros. for the DS in under an hour using shortcuts, and a little over two hours without using shortcuts. Neither of which I attempted to get 100% of course.

And now that I think about it: Shadow of the Colossus in about five hours.

Never really been much of a speedrunner. I usually try to get as much time out of a game as I can seeing as how the cost so much nowadays.

That being said though, I used to play the hell out of some of my old genesis games. Ristar and Comix Zone come to mind in particular, as I basically had those memorized. I don't know as those really count as genesis games basically had to be beat in one sitting.

Dead Space 2. I wasn't actually trying to do a speed run, but I was able to finish it in just under 10 hours. With only the vintage plasma cutter :p. Love that game so hard.
I'm thinking about taking the Zealot challenge, where do you think the best places to save are?

OT:I don't really look at the hours, and I explore a lot, but I've completed RE4 a bunch of times so it can't be too slow.

Castlevania Symphony of the Night any% defeat Dracula: 0:37:03

Once you learn the Richter skip, you save a ton of time ignoring the Gold and Silver rings and getting the Holy Glasses. Friend of mine is trying to beat Star Ocean 4 in under 3 hours now, missed it by 16 seconds.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. Three hours and fifty nine minutes. After beathing the game I would sometimes sit down on a rain saturday or sunday afternoon and go as fast as I could. The fasted I ever did was three hours and fifty nine minutes. I was very proud of myself that day. Yes it did come to me as a sense of pride everytime I beat my past times.

I wanted to see how quickly I could run through new vegas. On the hardest difficulty. On hardcore. With the J. E. Sawyer mod which makes the game a crapton harder.
I managed to muscle my way through the endgame, woefully underlevelled in about 13 hours I think. I can't remember exactly but it was pretty good.

I generally don't do speed runs, since I suck at them.

My only real speed run would be Super Mario 3 to impress my youngest cousin who is just getting into games. I can finish it in under 15 minutes, with warp whistles of course.

Recently beat Mega Man X in about 30 minutes with 100% item collection (minus the Haduken Easter Egg)

I beat RE2 in in 1:30 I think. Actually, I beat ALL the time based stuff in the Resident Evil games.

All the 2D Metroid games quick enough to get Samus in a bikini (Not counting Other M, haven't played it)

Nothing REALLY impressive, tbh

I never play through my games quickly, the fastest I beat a game would probably be Okami in a day so somewhere to 10-15 hours. It was a new game+ but I wanted to max out my stats and collect demon fangs to buy everything you could with them, not for speed. I also beat Ghost Trick in around 10 hours or however long it is, and it was hilarious since I started the same time the as game took place and finished it in sync. Also the sunrise after beating it was glorious. Though that's not a speed run either...

I've finished Myst in about six minutes (I didn't time it). But Myst can be completed absurdly fast if you know what you're doing.

But speedruns aren't usually my thing. I have a 16h playthrough of New Vegas, and I think my current time in RE5 is 4:19:51.

I did Mirror's Edge in about 5 or 6 hours, I'm pretty sure that's no where near the fastest but that's the best I've done haha.
One hour and forty five minutes. Your move.
I finished an actual game of monopoly. In one life time. BOOM. Check and mate!

I don't usually play for speed and am a bit of turtle because I like to check every single nook and cranny when I play.
Four hours, actually trying. A ROOK ARRIVES FROM NOWHERE!

And that's a valid attitude to have in any game that's not Mirror's Edge. :p
True that, it becomes the death of me in any game made by Bethesda. Mirror's Edge did have those yellow messenger bags that you could find but I got tired of looking for them.

My friend and I did become obsessed with the speed trials at one point and would play until we had 3 stars (if I remember correctly, that was the grading system :p )
Oooooh, the time-trials were murder. But they helped me majorly improve my time in the main game, allowing for an under-two-hour speedrun.

I beat Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars in a single day. Can't remember the exact hours played though.

My fastest run ever was beating Metroid Fusion in just under 2 hours. Not sure how fast that's considered, but yeah.
