Tool - Lateralus
Roger Waters - Pros and Cons of Hitch-hiking
Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
Opeth - Watershed
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - The Lyre of Orpheus

If an album comprised of entirely Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' The Mercy Seat was released, i'd probably play it all the way through. 15 or so tracks of one of my favourite songs ever written over and over again. I could dig that

A small selection of other picks:

Queens of the Stoneage- Songs For The Deaf

Agalloch- The Mantle

Opeth- Ghost Reveries

Wishbone Ash- Argus

Mastodon- Crack The Skye
All fine selections.

I'd have to go with Opeth's Blackwater park. I can't think of a single album (outside of maybe Mastodon's Leviathan) where I loved every song on the album.

Avenged Sevenfold: "AVENGED SEVENFOLD" "NIGHTMARE"
Favorite Song: Unbound Nightmare

The Fray: "HOW TO SAVE A LIFE" "THE FRAY"
Favorite Song: How To Save A Life You Found Me Bonus: Their cover of "Heartless" by Kanye

Interesting Topic.

Ready To Die - Notorious BIG ; Just amazing. Nothing funnier than BIG slapping hoes.
Bastard - Tyler, The Creator ; Not for everyone, but I feel very creative and a breath of fresh air.
EARL - Earl Sweatshirt ; Recorded when he was 16. Lyrically amazing, and very clever for 16.
Channel Orange - Frank Ocean ; Great production and great visuals.
The Essential Bob Dylan - Bob Dylan ; He is just the fucking man. Enough said.
Never Mind The Bollocks, Here Are The Sex Pistols - Amazing Album, really got me into punk rock.

there arent many albums I can say I like as a whole

probably though Year Zero by Nine Inch Nails mainly due to the fact its a concept album with a full blown narrative (I also like to think of it as a concept album for Mass Effect 3)
I personally would have chosen The Downward Spiral. I've had that CD in my cars stereo for 2 years non stop.

Conversation Piece by A Lot Like Birds, that album is a musical journey. The lyrics really speak to me as well.

Here's a taste:

You and I seem to be on the same page here. I love that there's actually Elliott Smith love here, as I find none IRL. I couldn't get into Arcade Fire, but you know, opinions. I could have easily put any Smiths/Morrisey albums in the OP.

Mine is Manowar's Gods of War album.
It's 74 minutes of non-stop epic metal.
Not one second goes by without something awesome being played.
Somehow, I'd never listened to Manowar before. Thanks for posting that, I'll certainly be digging deeper into their work.

A few more albums!

Can't listen to just one song on that one.

Such a haunting, beautiful piece of work. I love her voice as well. One of the few albums to make me cry.
You're welcome!
I'm glad to have opened your eyes to something new, especially Manowar, who don't receive NEARLY as much attention as they should.
Also, I must thank you for posting your links, that's some good stuff.
