Since cuttlefish and pangolins have already been mentioned, I'll go with viscachas.

Mine is the Red Wolf. They mate for life and never waver. They are incredibly loyal and that's something I admire greatly in them. I also love their dynamics. I feel that a lot can be learned by just watching wolves.

At the moment, I think it'd probably have to be the Blue Whale.

[small][sub]*Whale noises*.[/sub][/small]

They're awe-inspiringly big but impressively sleek and quick. They flip about in the world's oceans, making endearing noises and generally keeping themselves out of trouble.
Blue whales are pretty rad. Intelligent, mammals, and as far as we know the biggest organisms to ever have existed in the world ( including dinosaurs, and they're alive right now during our lifetimes. We're pretty privileged in that respect.

(And should probably stop harpooning them...)

Foxes of course! I guess I can relate to them a little. Solitary, cunning, slightly mischievous.

Also they're adorable.

captcha: sneezing baby panda. I guess that's a good choice too.

Wouldn't you rather have a nice weasel?

I guess there'd be the constant risk of them barreling down at you from atop the cupboards or drinking all your cola and exploding. :D

Cuttlefish was a good choice, and bats are adorable too, but for me...

There is something so clever and alive in those eyes.

Also, the vampire squid!

I remember thinking that they were the most cosmically removed looking animal I had ever seen. When a vampire squid blinks, it looks so very, very ancient- and thoroughly, diabolically, sentient.

One of my favorite sea creatures is the Nudibranch. And I swear it's the central inspiration for most of the Final Fantasy monsters and airships.

Their name means "Naked Gill," which is a quality which separates them from sea slugs.

The amazing thing? They're really only a couple inches long.

Can I be super boring and say cats?

I love cats, my cats most of all. Whenever a cat appears in a movie I am most invested in its safety (Looking at you Alien). The internet loves cats too! We all love cats!

The Giant Anteater

They're awesome, and the ultimate proof that if a God or Goddess is up there, they have a great sense of humor.
