Your favorite author?

I fell in love with the Homecoming Saga. Then, I was amazed again by the Ender's series, so Orson Scott Card is definitely my favorite.

It has to be Tolkien. The man set the stage for the entire fantasy genre. But I also enjoy Michael Crichton and Robert Jordan, may they both rest in peace

Who is your favorite author, and why?

I ask this because I've been reading, and listening to Douglas Adams recently, quite a lot, and I have fallen in love with his writing.

If you haven't yet, I'd suggest Rob Grant, and Doug Naylor. (Listed as Grant Naylor on their books.) Specifically the Red Dwarf series. Although I enjoy Douglas Adams, well I mainly enjoy LDTTftS, and DGHDA, and not so much HHGttG. Red Dwarf is in the same style as Hitchhikers.

As for my favourite author, I can't choose one:
Orson Scott Card
Chuck Palahniuk (have read everything he's ever publicly written)
Scott Douglas (Inspiration to me)
Weis and Hickman
