First thing that came to mind was Shadow the Hedgehog. Sure the game was sorta bad, but I had tons of fun playing it. Dynasty Warriors is one of my favorite series, and I believe that it is a gracious gift from above! Hmmm, if anything else, would Mario Kart: Double Dash count? Most people say negative things about it, but I think it's the best one of the series.

Far Cry 2. The gameplay might not be too good, but the guns are fun to use, the atmosphere is excellent, and the fire physics are beautiful in the most cathartic way possible.

... Sigh. FireWarrior. It's terrible right down to the bone, but it's also like a bizzaro world of 40k. Where Fire Warriors are as strong as Space Marines, and raptors are monkeys... for some reason. Also playing with cheats makes it bearable.
That's ok, no one likes the Tau anyway, so I guess they made a shitty game to match. :p

OT: Turning Point, Legendary, Naughty Bear and Clive Barker's Jericho are all games that I own and quite enjoyed.

Also, I saw Mirror's Edge and Far Cry 2 mentioned. Those games sold pretty well and have been well received, so I don't think they fit the spirit of the thread.

I've spent dozens of hours dicking around in Two Worlds, hoarding weapons to combine into my table leg of unspeakable power that I use to beat animals to death with, only so I can come back later and beat their stupid fucking ghosts to death.

You get back what you put into Far Cry 2. It's all about learning and exploiting the systems in place. It's a game that rewards creativity and improvisation. The fun comes from devising crazy plans and trying to execute them, it's fairly dull if you just play it like any other FPS.

Dark Void.

The closest I will ever, EVER get to a new Rocketeer.
I would have said Dark Void if it wasn't so heartbreaking. I don't know if it was a lack of funds or time or talent or a combination of the three, but had Dark Void actually been finished, if they made the game they clearly set out to make, it could possibly have been one of the greatest games of all time. It's just not finished. Big pieces of it are obviously missing, and a lot of it seems like it was just done to get the damn thing out, but the moments where everything comes together, the jetpack, the vertical cover, the transition between those two and regular gameplay within the same sequence, give you glimpses of brilliance that are heartbreaking in that there wasn't more of them.

I just absolutely adore the Dynasty Warriors series. If it were a person, I would give it the biggest, best hug ever. And I cannot wait for Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3, it has a new art style!

Just Cause 2! The story and voice acting are absolute shit. Really...terrible. There are also quite a few glitches but the explosions. The explosions! They're beautiful!!!!
Yes, even if the story was removed altogether you'd still have a bad-ass game...
Honestly you'd probably have an even more bad-ass game. And since when was this game considered bad. It got good reviews.

Two Worlds is really bad. I even think it's bad but there is something pretty awesome about starting out so weak that you have to hit a bear about a hundred times before it die and it can kill you in about three hits. However, you can become so powerful because you can stack weapons and armor on top of each other to make them stronger that you can 1 hit any enemy in the game. I saved before the final boss and just kept making my character stronger and stronger until I had about 200 of the same extremely powerful sword stacked together and I could 1 hit the final boss after that.

May have made a few run-on sentences. Sorry but I'm too tired to care if I did or not.

Singularity.
It's pretty much disliked because it takes almost everything from other games but I enjoyed it mainly because of the time control mechanic. I loved it when I created a bubble that slows down everything that's inside of it, Then I shot at the enemies within that bubble with a minigun. And when the bubble vanished: the soldiers had a big surprise.

My vote goes for Def Jam: Fight for New York.

The game is fantastic. A simple, yet deep fighting game with bone-crushing intensity. Unfortunately, when I tell people this, they just shrug and say, "You mean that stupid game where you make rappers fight each other? Pass."

FFNY is amazing, and has the best character creation sequence I've probably ever seen.

Dynasty Warriors. They're stupid, and horribly voice acted, and the mechanics are shallow as all hell, but, you know, sometimes I just want to absolutely slaughter five hundred dudes without breaking a sweat.

They're like cheesy 70s Kung Fu movies. That's what they are.
1. People actually dislike those games?
2. Damn you for making me want to play it!

OT: There was this cheesy space trader game I used to play. I can't think of the name now but it was bad.
