My vote goes for Def Jam: Fight for New York.

The game is fantastic. A simple, yet deep fighting game with bone-crushing intensity. Unfortunately, when I tell people this, they just shrug and say, "You mean that stupid game where you make rappers fight each other? Pass."
FFNY is amazing, and has the best character creation sequence I've probably ever seen.
It's a shame they made Def Jam: Icon. Argh. That's the most awkward Fight Night "clone" I've ever had the displeasure to let into my 360. In fact, I think it gave my xbox herpes.

Sonic '06 I loved it so much that after I beat it once, me and some friends did a marathon of it. (I played it while they watched and played Pokemon)

Perfect Dark Zero.

I kind of get why most everyone doesn't like it, but I love it, esp. the books & comic series that continues the game (those books are my absolute favorites, which is saying something since I've probably read over 2,000 books).

Also, the commentator for the multiplayer is great. If you get a high enough killstreak, he will go absolutely bat shit nuts.

Finally, if a game can get me motivated to look this good, then it had to have done something right:

(it's almost done. I should be done w/ it in a day or two)
*impressed at skill* I dressed up as Rorschach from Watchmen once. Hmm. Methinks I will start a cosplay thread.

Alone in the Dark for the 360. I bought it for 5 dollars and it was totally worth it. I love hitting enemies in the face with the fire extinguisher. Also I need to beat that game some time.
Do you want a game guide? I have one for Alone In The Dark:Central Park that was given to me. I havn't even played a single Alone In The Dark game

Killer7, I honestly don't know why I like it so much, I just do. Story is confusing as all heck, combat is odd, it's pretty much an on rail shooter except you get to push go. Just something really made it compelling to me for some reason.

Prey...<.< I still don't understand why people hated it so much... they acted like it murdered their families or something...

Hellgate london, I just liked the style, atmosphere, weapons etc.
I played the demo of that game so many times over. Had my parents allowed it I would have brought it. But they didn't, so I shall content myself with Fallout:NV and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. instead.

OT: I grew up on "Bad" games. Until about three years ago I never read any reviews of games. No one influenced my early gaming years. Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX, Tony Hawk, Hot Wheels Velocity X, Monkey Island 4, Lego Island, Lego Island 2. I loved these games. I didn't have any point of reference to tell me that these games where "bad". I didn't know that the previous three Monkey Island games where point and click based, I'd never played them. I simply controlled Guybush with a keyboard. Mat Hoffamn rode his bike for hours as I tried for months to finish his career. It took me three years to finish the main story mode of Velocity X (a game that would be awesome if it was resurrected as freeware and given multiplayer support for 8 or more players. Think Auto Assault but made in 2001 and with jumps and ramps and a surprisingly logical story). One of the proudest moments in my life was when I bought my copy of Robot Wars:Extreme Destruction after saving up for weeks. The most interesting thing about these games is how they have past on to my four younger brothers. We have all played or are playing these games now. They're part of family history.

Pokemon for me.

Though my favorite HORRIBLE game is Drake of the 99 dragons. Its just fun to play an epic clusterfuck.

That was the first mulitplayer FPS I ever played. I need to track that game down on Steam. Makes a nice change from constant MW rehashes.

Well, I could easily make a case for the Monster Hunter series, and Steambot Chronicles, but those games had a few good redeeming values.

So I'll say Earth Defense Force 2017. It has bad camera horrible vehicles, terrible graphics, clipping, glitches, un fair odds, grinding, grading voice acting, and it just feels cheap. Like buying a knock off transformer, sure there's the obvious faults, but overall you can feel the cheapness. And that's not all, theres a complete crap vs mode just tacked on, but I could do this forever.

But, it's still a great pick up game, like something you'd find in a dying arcade and would play over and over. And at twenty bucks when I got it, probably less now, it's worth it. And it is just overall a fun game, while not being good.

Dynasty Warriors. They're stupid, and horribly voice acted, and the mechanics are shallow as all hell, but, you know, sometimes I just want to absolutely slaughter five hundred dudes without breaking a sweat.

They're like cheesy 70s Kung Fu movies. That's what they are.
Nobody hates them though, they're silly though but good fun with a friend.
Oh yes they are hated. Very much so where I live.
I'm with badgersprite on that one though; I to think of it as the "Story of Ricky" of video games, but with much less gore.

In addition to that game...hmm. Not "hated" but it's definitely bad. It's a game that I borrowed from my friend when he couldn't get into it.
Might and Magic 7: For Blood and Honor
It's...so generic and badly written that it's actually awesome.
But at the same time, the game also rewards the player for exploring.

I don't know how to describe it except as the most generic action-RPG ever made...but at the same time, it's still awesome.

A pity nobody has a copy of that game; the only listings I found were dead sites claiming to be selling the game for 40+ bucks.

"Wanted: Weapons Of Fate". I got it in the post-movie hype, but curving bullets in slo-mo is always fun.

Kingdom Hearts. In my top 3 favourite games (with FFVII and MGS(which are both also bad)).
Wait, Kingdom Hearts is considered a bad game? All of them (With the possible expection of KH:CoM) are up in my greatest games played list.

OT: Mirror's Edge, I don't get why some people hate it, it was a fun (if short) game that I had a great time with.

People consider Lego Island a bad game? I loved that game so much when I was growing up, heck I still have it and Lego Island 2. I want to play them, but my computer is stocked up on important files for school and I can't delete them. Other games some people considered bad I guess are The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge, and Ape Escape 3. I liked those games to be honest and they remain on my list of favorite games still.
