Your favorite boss ever?

Everything from Shadow of the Colossus, especially/except for Phalanx, depending on how patient I am.

It's a giant flying sand snake.

To bring this fucker down you have to shoot his 3 air sacks WHILE riding your already somewhat hard to steer horse, and then jump from your horse onto one of its tiny wings. Then you get to wait for it to re-ascend back into the sky so you can walk from it's wing to the main body while holding your balance. Then you make your way to it's fuck-me-here point and stab it a couple times. After you do that it flies straight into the ground before you even know what happened. Have fun repeating that 2 more times.

So yeah, depending on how I feel this can either be my favourite colossi or the bane of my playthrough.

The only one I can think of would be Ocelot from MGS4 (Alright, all MGS bosses are badass).

You literally face his many identities. I forget the order but you face: Young Ocelot, Revolver Ocelot, Liquid Ocelot and Old Ocelot. You get the feeling you're fighting your brother, your equal. But the game keeps reminding you this is just some old guy who was pals with Big Boss. But you can't shake the feeling that it's Liquid! But he's also Ocelot!
I dunno, that's one mindfuck I enjoyed.

I have others but I can't really say which one's my favorite...

Yeah, it can get kinda annoying constantly missing his wings, otherwise though, I had fun with that colossi.

I'm pretty sure you face his identities in order of the MGS games. First Revolver, then Liquid, then Young Ocelot.

As someone who played MGS3 first in the series, I found myself getting especially pumped when that battle reached the third stage thanks to the Snake Eater theme that played during that part.

Is it cheating if I post full games on my favorite bosses? The examples I can give are all the bosses of Arkham City, Shadow of the Colossus, and Portal 2.

I'm not sure why, I just really like this boss. It's the first 'proper' boss fight of the game, if you don't count the guy from the tutorial level. It isn't mind-blowingly difficult, but has enough challenge to keep you entertained.

That last bit is the definition of the last boss of the game, Gwyn, who is my favorite boss of all time. Or maybe its The Bed Of Chaos, or Seath the Scaleless, or Grave Lord Nito, or That Wolf With The Sword In Its Mouth.

I really liked the Usurper King Zant fight in twilight princess, just how crazy he is i found hilarious/disturbing. But my favourite bosses probably have to go to the ones of Banjo Tooie. Any of them are just hilarious.

Honourable mention to Ra's Al Ghul. That fight was the best part of Arkham City for me.
