I am a big lover of classical music, here are my favourites:

Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers
Mozart's Marriage of Figaro
Mozart's Requiem Aeternam
Beethoven's Symphony No.5
Strauss' Blue Danube Waltz (Mostly for its part in 2001: A Space Odyssey.)
Dvorak's Slavonic Dances No.8

And finally, my favourite piece of all: Camille Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre.

Full version of 1812 overture recorded in St Petersburg with two massive chiors, the city churches bells and a whole battery of heavy artillery, it was epic just epic, almost reduced me to tears it was so overwhelming.

Pictures at an exhibition

Halls of the mountain king

Il Trovatare

And if for nothing else than its dated and jingoistic "Rule Britannia"

Wow list is just endless really. Gotta say I love most classical I hear. With some exceptions, mainly because I fall asleep easy.

No problem. There's a surprisingly strong classical contingent on here which is fantastic in my opinion, I'm just one of the more vocal ones (mainly because I listen to nothing but classical...)

[a href=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4oDDmoWf1M&feature=fvw]Mars, Bringer of War[/a] We used to play it in the locker room before Hockey games or at least that part of it.

Prelude in C(sharp) Minor is pretty good, i can't spell composers name good enough to get google to help.

Also of course some Beethoven:
Moonlight Sonata, 6th symphony, Funeral March are all winners

I found this one song a long time a go by searching Classical music, it didn't have a name but said it was Beethoven all i know is that it's pretty good.

I do like some of Brahms Hungarian dance like no.5

But I'm into more modern orchestra like:
Market garden on Medal of Honour frontline or Hymn to the fallen by john williams (Saving private ryan soundtrack)

Clair De Lune .... and Bella's Lullaby off Twilight... They are piano music but still hit the classical range also. God I love them!

1812 Overture
Bach's Toccatta and Fugue in D Minor
Saint-Saens "Danse Macabre"
Mozart's 41st, the Jupiter
Kabilevsky's Sonata
Grieg's Hall of the Mountain King

EDIT: Oh Yeah! Clair de Lune is lovely, as is Moonlight Sonata.

And Hungarian Rhapsody

EDIT AGAIN: OH YEAH! And Mozart's Requiem, particularly "Dies Irae" and my favourite: "Rex Tremendae Majestatis"

You want a piece of me?

sorry couldn't resist

I don't listen to "classical" as in that time period, but on that kind of music Apocalyptica has some real nice work.

1812 Overture, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Clair De Lune, Lux Aeterna, and most modern orchestra (John Williams and Danny Elfman both FTW). Also, 4'33'' is pretty awesome :D.
