Your favorite COD4 setup

Personally at the moment I'm loving the RPD with red dot sight and stopping power, with the old cheapo Last Stand perk for revenge kills.

What are peoples favoured guns/perks/classes?

Being invisible to the enemy UAV and quietly running around with a shotgun and Stopping Power.

I think that's what the setup was, anyway. Regardless, it was effective.

I have a few standard groups.
1) Rifle. The starter M16 or whatever - burst fire bastard - with an ACOG sight.
2) SMG. Either an MP5 or an AK74U.
3) SMG. Utilising the UZI.

With all groups I have Bandolier and Sleight of Hand.

Wetworks, Sniper, The tower with the windows, claymores at the stairs, in the shadowy part of the left entrance of the inside part (You're outside), killing any other sniper on the other side.

Went 37 and 0 once doing this, they really disliked me.

I have 3 pre-sets that I always end up using.
1. Rifle: Silencer, Stopping Power, Deep Impact, 3 Frags
2. SMG: Silencer, Stopping Power, Steady Aim, 3 Frags
3. Sniper: Stopping Power, Iron Lungs, Claymore

And, if I'm playing Hardcore, replace Stopping Power with UAV Jammer and Silencer with Red Dot.

I think that's what the setup was, anyway. Regardless, it was effective.

UAV Jammer and Stopping Power fill the same slot, so you'd have to pick one. Sounds like you're going for UAV Jammer, Dead Silence, and possibly Bomb Squad.


My go-to class is the RPD w/Grip, Stopping Power, and Deep Impact.

I pretty much just use my sniper created class.

Dragunov with no attachments, the M1911.45 with silencer attachment, and my perks include:
2 C4 charges(I'm this close to level 23 and then I'll switch to claymores.), UAV jammer, and Deep impact.

My favorite level is Pipeline, get me on that grassy hill and I'll be able top take out 2 or 3 people before someone finally rushes up behind me and knifes me, that's why I'm waiting for the claymores.

And before anyone starts with it, I don't camp, I'm always on the move, especially with that killcam thing, I also snipe mostly because most everyone and their uncle likes to use the martyrdom perk, and it doesn't affect you if your on the other side of the map.

I'm loving the G3 right now, with the scope for long maps, and the silencer for being sneaky. Its a great all around gun.

1: M-16 (ACOG) with Stopping Power (yeah, I'm cheap), Deep Impact and Bandolier.
2: Golden Dragunov (stock) with Bandolier, Stopping Power and Martyrdom (just to wipe the smug look off of any bastard that manages to sneak up behind me and knife me).
3: M-60 (red dot) with Bandolier, Stopping Power and Deep Impact.
4: W1200 (grip), 3x frags, Sleight of Hand and Martyrdom.
5: MP5 (Silencer), Bomb Squad, UAV Jammer, and Light Step.

M60E4, Grip, Overkill (Secondary weapon = M4Carbine with silencer), and last stand.

The ones I use the most:
For maps with some range, like pipeline: M16 w/ silencer, 3x frags, stopping power, extreme conditioning.
For shipment/wetworks: P90 w/ red dot, 3x frags, sonic boom, martyrdom.
For everything else: AK-SU / P90 w/ silencer, 3x frags, UAV jammer, extreme conditioning (though I might replace it with dead silence).

I love taking the path least travelled and flanking/hitting people in the back, so high mobility and lots of undetected running/killing.

You gotta be careful of those annoying claymores though. I've made a fool of myself so many times. Probably when someone is watching as well.

Anyone who mentions juggernaut as in one of their classes should be ashamed. I HATE juggernaut especually when coupled with matyrdom. When a headshot isnt a 1 hit kill with a sniper it ceases to be realistic modern warfare and becomes magical supersoldier modern warfare. I allow it for noobs who dont know any better but anyone else gets an "unsporting play" negative review. Its harsh but fair.

I got a few favourite classes.

Stopping power
steady aim

Stealth

Any SMG silenced really
random pistol
bomb squad
UAV jammer
martydom

I find these classes the most fun by far
