Your favorite COD4 setup

It's usually:

P90/MP5 (Silenced):Bomb Squad, Stopping Power and Dead Silence - Pretty good for Search and Destroy

Any Assault Rifle (Red Dot Sight): 3x Frags, Stopping Power and Martyrdom - Good for general use

The other variation involves M16/M4 (Red Dot Sight): Bandolier, Stopping Power and Extreme Condtioning - Mainly when I feel like a god.

G3 + G36C both with grenade launchers (gives you 4 grenades .. a real cheap trick) and either extreme conditioning or steady aim... its a cheap trick but it when it works you get easily get a chopper every time before you die

But thats not possible, if you use overkill you dont get an attatchment on the second weapon...

I can, so you should be able to unless there's been an update since i last played COD4 (about 2/3 weeks ago since my COD4 disk is now scratched beyond repair) it always worked for me.

It seems like people have really varied play styles, which is kinda cool because I was expecting everyone to be snipers or P90 Ninjas!

Although I seem to still be the only one who loves his RPD

I've tried playing with assault rifles, snipers and even the P90 but the only 2 times I've ever finshed top of the match was by using the RPD with stopping power... it just rips!

You gotta be careful of those annoying claymores though. I've made a fool of myself so many times. Probably when someone is watching as well.

Your cowardly ways, your taking a guy who has no means to defend himself in CQC, but in MY case, its not only the claymore or sniper, or even grenades you need to look out for, its the pistol .

Camping is a fine and perfected art . I've been there,a particualarly alert team will see your first kill on radar and then single mindedly hunt you down until you die. It makes sniping (and camping in all its glorious forms ) a LOT harder than some people claim it is, just sitting there and shooting. Had a great round where i made 3 kills with the sniper, 1 with pistol and then 2 with last stand and a clusmy bloke with one of my stray claymores. Gotta love that deagle. A fairly sleepy team will simply run out to die though and rack up those kills. 21 kill streak on block, ran out of ammo for my barett.

Ummm it really just depends on what you like really. I found that is one thing about cod4, each weapon has its own little advantage in different situations, as they all have differnt ranges, fire rates etc etc etc. So yeah either way, what you get more kills with

Resurrected this thread because I have been recently using the Ak 47 and when you get that baby under control it's just unstoppable.

Using it tonight I finished 27-3 on Team Deathmatch on Ambush, which may not be impressive for most of you, but it is a big deal for me because I suck at multiplayer FPS.

It seems to have more power per bullet than all the other fully automatics.

And, if I'm playing Hardcore, replace Stopping Power with UAV Jammer and Silencer with Red Dot.

WHAT you replace silencer for red dot in hardcore? thats the worst thing you could ever do with a automatic... you replace your second perk with double tap for faster hipshots or uav jammer preferbly double tap and 3 frags should be 3 stuns.

2.silenced mini-uzi gold, gold deagle, stun x3, double tap, steady aim.

Wow, I posted this 5 months ago. As to your critique, I avoid double tap because it's a waste of ammo. On top of that, it's completely useless with the G3 which I primarily use. In answer to your comments on using a Red Dot in hardcore, the G3 turns into a beautiful middle to long distance weapon with the addition of pin point shooting. Seriously, try it, as long as you aren't spraying the G3/Red Dot combo is surgical. And finally, the frags vs. stuns debate. Depending on my main weapon and the map, I commonly switch my explosives load out. If the map is tight (i.e. Wetwork, Crash, Vacant), I take breeching devices. In the case of an open map (i.e. District, Countdown, Downpour), I like being able to lob an ugly pinapple in their lap. Also I tend to take Flashbangs instead of Stuns. I figure there's always a chance to completely pooch the throw and end up eating it. In this situation, I'd rather be able to blindly move to cover than watch the other guy slowly walk up to me and liberally apply his knife to my head.
