As the title suggests, what is your favorite Conspiracy Theory, and why?

Mine is the theory that the earth is flat. [http://theflatearthsociety.org/cms/] Sure, it doesn't seem like a conspiracy with just that, but apparently the government knows that the Earth is flat, and is keeping us from finding out! Those dirty bastards! But wait, it gets better. With the Earth being flat, the moon landing, as well as all space missions, are fake. Gasp!

here [http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php?topic=1324.0] is a list of everything they believe, in case you don't want to look through the site.

So, what about you? Know of any? Believe in any?

"Paul McCartney is dead."

"What is your proof?"

"HE HAS NO SHOES ON THE ABBY ROAD COVER!"

"I see... Tell me, do you take of your shoes when inside?"

"... Yes"

"ZOMBIE!!!"

so many to choose from. hmmm quite a few generally include the nazis, china, the bnp, secret invisible ninjas etc. I guess I'll go with the holocaust deniers, considering they have the stupidest hypothesis. and no i dont believe in any conspiracy theories.

Like I said in the stupid things thread, that the Illuminati created love to control people, and that it explains Jesus saying the greatest love is dying for a friend.

The guy who said it goes by the name Globalman. Look him up, he's hilarious.

I heard a strange one before that the Queen and all the British royal family are actually a pack of alien-lizardlike creatures donning human skin. Not sure what the justification was I just remembering it making me laugh

The whole David Icke's "All major authorities are shapeshifting lizard illuminati" thing. What makes it scary is that when I was at the Brixton Academy last (2,500 capacity venue), I saw on the listings that he had 2 sold-out dates.

Alternatively the hollow earth thingy.

Deep down inside of me, I really wish these things were true, as it would be totally awesome, in a strange way.

The one which states 'if you don't belive in conspiracy theories, you will be right 99% of the time.'

ITS A CONSPIRACY THEORY!

The government are trying to keep us quite, yea. Inside job, yea. Controlled demolitions, yea. Yea... *sob, I'm so alone *sob.

I have my own, which involves that the Earth does not have a core and that all the world leaders and scientists are simply trying to cover up the fact that instead, there is a massive hamster wheel, which is kept turning by Godzilla.

No, this theory does not explain volcanic activity but.. Shu'p.
Godzilla breathes fire every once in awhile, and that makes lava! And earthquakes happen when he isnt fed enough and throws a tantrum.

The Hollow Earth one is pretty good

The moon landing ones tend to annoy me considering you can fire a lazer at mirros on the moon and they will reflect back, its basically proof

"Favourite"? Hmm. Some of the absolute loopy ones like we live on the inside of a hollow Earth. I had a coversation with a proponent of that belief, and he could never explain even the most basic of things. He thought the stars where street lights from the other side of the planet. It's such an airtight explanation I can think of absolutely no way to refute that claim.

Moon landing hoxers are also interesting as it can get very dark some times. There is a popular FOX documentary (Narrated by Jonathan "Commander Riker" Frakes) which goes over all the points, some are exceedingly easy to prove wrong, some are more complex, and some are outright speculation and slander. the worst part is that they insinuate that the Apollo 2 disaster that killed the crew was intentional as they knew too much.

We went to the Moon people it's easy to prove and denying it dishonours those men who worked so hard for, arguably, the greatest human achievement since "Baconnaise"

The Illuminati/New World Order stuff. Good reads. I doubt anything is happening, but its a fun subject to research.

I like the one where people say that the war of the worlds was real, and the book was just written to make people think it was fiction.
