I don't have one favorite. My top three are The Lion King, Mulan, and Aladdin. I do know what my least favorite Disney movie is though, and it's Pocahontas.

The Lion King is my favourite film ever. According to my friends this is a very sad thing, but it truly is wonderful!

Anyone, who isn't in any way moved by the image of a young Simba curling up to his dead father, doesn't earn my respect.
Indeed, it is an amazing film, however I'm going to be controversial here and admit that I prefer the sequel to the first film. They're both awesome, but the songs in Simba's Pride are just that bit better, and I've always preferred the story of Romeo & Juliet to that of Hamlet (again, both amazing plays though) :p.
I completely understand, I love both the first two films.
I feel the songs in number two are better, but that the story line is somewhat lacking in comparison to the first, Simba just never felt that strong of a character as Mufasa to me. :)

The amount of Lion King love on here is giving me a serious sense of admiration for the community of this website.

The Lion King.
It was my favourite as a kid, and it brings back a whole heap of memories nowadays.
They just don't make kid's movies like it anymore, I mean seriously: characters actually die!
It's a really dark and violent film if you think about it, kind of like Shakespeare with lions.

My favorite is easily Mulan. I mean, watch this video.

So weird. I actually watched that exact video yesterday night, trying to get to work on an assignment. Or rather, "get down to business".

This is a tricky question... are we talking about just "paper" animated disney movies? If that's the case then its definitely mulan. She beats out 95% of other lead disney characters simply by not being stuck up, annoying, whiny, or a flat out douchebag.

The pixar movies would pretty much all come out on top if they're included. I'm also a pretty big fan of Pirates of the Caribbean. The first one...

Alladdin hands down, easily my most favourite Disney movie. I also rather enjoyed the sequels and side episodes of it they made too.

Aside from all the PIXAR films, I really have a spot for 101 Dalmatians and Peter Pan.

i definantly agree with you, Mulan is my favorite
the others are still great but Mulan is best mostly because it isnt excessivly bright and happy which can kill my enjoyment of a movie

honerable mention to Treasure planet for being the best disney movie in recent memory just passing Bolt (it didnt win because of RHINO) and meet the robinsons a movie way to cluttered to be more than mindless entertainment, good mindless entertainment but still

Fantasia. It will be released on blu-Ray on November 30. I'm contemplating buying a Blu-Ray player just for this film.

I really cannot make this choice. I've just skimmed through this thread and basically every one suggested is in the list of potentials.

The first that popped into my head was Lilo & Stitch though, so I guess I'll say that. Unless Pixar movies count, in which case it's WALL·E.
