What are your favorite enemies/bosses in any video game!?

My favorite bosses , are the bosses with multiple phases, the ones that have you sitting at the edge of your seat, bitting your nails, hoping that he doesn't decide to kill you off next turn . My absolute favorite has to be NYX from persona 3 , rarely have i been so stressed out for a boss fight, gotta kill him 13 times, in one battle, took me a hell of alot of grinding to even be able to get to phase 13 which is death arcana which is the strongest of nyx phases and where the 'real battle ' begins . But i got to say , when i finally beat him , the biggest sense of acomplishment onverwhelmed me and it felt AWSOME. Oh and special mention to the music for that fight, absolutley EPIC.

Freeze Man from megaman 7 is a great boss. As for regular fodder, I prefer the zombified sort.

What kind of zombified sort do you mean? Like L4D infected? Undead? Necromorph? Head-crab Zombie? Or just zombified enemies in general? ^^

Final Fantasy XII bosses, and I mean almost every single one. Especially the espers.

My favorite boss is probably Ultimecia from FFVIII. Took me a LONG time to finally beat her. Fou-Lu from Breath of Fire IV is a close second though.

Favorite boss to fight? Hmm there are some good ones that I can list. My first choice would have to be Quadraxis from Metroid Prime 2:

My other favorite has got to be Patchouli Knowledge from Touhou 6:

Even though how successful my victory is over her varies from attempt to attempt, she's still my favorite bookworm with a Vitamin A deficiency.

Plus she constantly switches out Personas and if you have one that Nulls/Repels/Absorbs it's ability or to have more than one Null/Repel/Absorb.

I like a boss that utilizes what makes a game unique, like the Portal and Portal 2 bosses that were really half puzzle and half boss. Also the LoZ dungeon bosses of course, because they really make you get familiar with every item in the game.

Also bosses like the Rock Wraith in Dragon Age 2 on Hard difficulty settings and ones that just make you use strategy and not just button mashing and dodging (like Mario).

I really liked the Elder Scroll and Fallout games but the lack of big central bosses just makes you feel like your missing something.

It took 35 minutes to kill one man. Not a Demi-God, or super human. Just 1 extremely strong guy. And that wasn't the end of the game.

Favorite boss to fight? Hmm there are some good ones that I can list. My first choice would have to be Quadraxis from Metroid Prime 2:

Ninja'd, goddammit! Quadraxis was the only boss that killed me in MP2.

That's a MegaTen superboss for you. They're extremely unforgiving people and it's mainly luck that lets you win. If you beat one (I've beat Lucifer in SMT: Nocturne), I think you deserve bragging rights. Hell, the Ultimate Boss from SMT: Digital Devil Saga is often put on Top Ten lists for hardest RPG superbosses is just not hardest superbosses. He also wins quite a number of them.

It's a tie for my favorite enemy. I can't decide between Demons from the first two Doom games, and The Hidden from the first Diablo. Both were so much fun to kill! I don't really have a favorite boss. I rarely find them any more interesting than their underlings.

God of War

One of my all time favorites is that giant armored minotaur from the first God of War game. While the games that game after it had much more epic fights (Poseidon in 3 for example), none of them felt like you were contributing as much since cutscene power took over. But with the minotaur, most of the damage inflicted is Kratos wailing on its ass and shattering its armor piece by piece. Grappling with it to stun it so you can break his armor with a log cannon. Then just wailing on it and watching the armor over its health bar whittle away until it's vulnerable. The only one that get's close to being that awesome, to me, is the Chronos fight in 3. Kratos is the size of an ant compared to him, yet he climbs all over him making brutal hits to various parts of his body before giving him severe indigestion and a splitting headache (ba dum tish).

Darksiders

Then there's the fight with those giant sand worms in Darksiders. I felt like some kind of post-apocalyptic cowboy, riding his trusty demonic steed through the desert and blowing the brains out of giant sandworms. Then War lets the Stygian eat him, only for the sand to turn blood red and BAM! he's alive! Not to mention the second battle with Straga. GLaDOS would be so proud. And I never dreamed I'd see a game where you can play a game of chicken against an apocalyptic dragon while riding a demonic horse. My favorite enemies from that game were the little zombie enemies early on who you could instantly grapple and kill to heal yourself. Every time I saw them approach I'd spam O and hope for the cutscene of War crushing the little zombie's head. And spider stomping for health is great fun too.

Force Unleashed

The only other I can think of is that one massive boss in Force Unleashed 2, the one that grabbed and ate a rancor. Pinning it's hands to the wall and then using the force to bash it's brains in felt so sweet.
