A common staple of fiction is the whole "Evil God" thing. You know it, I know it. Hell, there's easily enough evil gods in fiction at this point to fill several pantheons.

So, who are some of your favorites? Oh, and for the purposes of this, "Godlike" counts.

For me, there's always Unicron:

A moment easily more awesome than anything that happens in the entire Bayformers trilogy.

Then again, there's always Apocalymon:

But, just so I don't leave out a JRPG evil god, there's also (Persona 3 Spoilers):

Such epic final boss music.

Also, I just realized that all three of my choices are evil gods that are kinda celestial bodies. Weird.

The only two I can think of is Darkseid from DC comic and likewise Unicron.

My favorite evil god is Cthulhu lol :D
Umm, Chtulhu is not a god. Lovecraft represented him as some sort of weird powerful being and there were some cults of his but Cthulhu isn't a deity. Just some weird entity. Calling it an "alien" is way more accurate.

OT: I like the Dark One from the Order of the Stick. He's a nice fellow. Well sort of. Certainly has character and a reason to be evil.

and castiel the angel had the power of god for an episode or two

He wasnt really evil, just sorta pissed off at everyone but he healed a blind man....

...after killing several angels who wouldnt conform to him and others he deemed wrong.

Unicron is certainly a good choice.

Thanos from Marvel would be a top choice for me.

Got to give a shout out to Loki from the Norse mythos.

And who can forget the all powerful, all fun loving, all egotistical, all sociopathic; Q.

For the purposes of this thread, I'd say that Chtulhu probably qualifies.

I've been wondering where they draw the line between Hereticus and Malleus. Say Dave, Ordo Hereticus is taking out a bunch of Khorne cultists, and he discovers they've managed to summon some sort of warp creature. At what point does he just leave and get a message to his mate Steve, Ordo Malleus to come over with a few Grey Knights to sort it out?

Sheesh, what's up with you people? If Cthulhu is a god, then

...OK, well in that case, I'll revise my answer to the Wyrm from the old World of Darkness. Fits into the thing, as it is the embodied force of destruction. Also, it's a more interesting god than one just goes "KILL! MAIM! DESTROY!" (so, pretty generic evilness) because it is as much a victim as it is a "god" of corruption, entropy and annihilation.

Pretty evil fellow, yes (since its ultimate goal is pretty much to destroy the universe), but at least has an excuse - the Wyrm used to be an external force of the universe, until it became trapped in the fabric of reality, which drove it mad. Now seeks to free itself maybe by undoing all of creation.

EDIT:

I would assume if Dave cannot handle it by throwing high numbers of men at it, then he'll call Steve and go "My work here is done, now it's your problem" and go to kick some other cultists' asses.
