I've recently come to the conclusion that bacon must be the greatest food in existence. Not only does it taste delicious by itself but it also somehow makes almost anything it's on even more delicious. Example: Cheeseburger- good; Bacon cheeseburger- great. The only thing this doesn't work on would be sweet things like ice cream but I can hardly fault it for that as bacon is in the category of food and ice cream falls into desserts. It would be unfair to compare the two. Anyway, there are only two faults that I can find with bacon. One fault being that bacon is extremely unhealthy for you and the second is the necessary preparation. While bacon is relatively easy to make there is still preparation involved which does not exist in certain other foods, namely honey mustard, which brings me to my next point.

Honey mustard is the only food (for me) that comes close to bacon. It requires no preparation and is comparatively not as bad for your health, but the one thing it lacks is the ability to stand alone. Honey mustard is useless without some sort of food to go with it. You can't just chug honey mustard (unless you're weird). So I would say that's why it is number two instead of number one.

So, what are your thoughts on this? What is your favorite food?

I have so many...

-Really Good Ribs
-Good Teriyaki Noodle Dishes
-Parmesan Red Pepper Steak
-Spicy Sausage Spaghetti

I cook though, So I like very specific dishes, if you want to go with a favorite ingredient, I really like Balsamic Vinegar, I've been able to work it into 75% of my recipe's. I also agree, bacon must be the greatest food in existence as it DOES make other foods better by being on them.

Pineapple...which is weird since the citrus gives me these awful blisters in my mouth *shrug*. As for a meal, only had it once in Japan, this godly tasting beef and noodle stew with some wierd pink rubbery 'vegetable' on top. *drools*

Tons, I love food. But to me, the king of foods is chili, nothing beats a big piping hot bowl of chili. Except maybe a really good basket of chili cheese fries.

My gf recently introduced me to veggie bacon, and i have to sadly say it actually tastes nicer than regular bacon as well as being healthier.

Also, Reggae Reggae anything rocks. (Does sauce count as a food..?)

I particularly like a 'black pudding, mashed potatoes and apple sauce' dish, and a real Dutch pea soup (as long as I can put in a spoon and it doesn't fall over) and tomato soup with ketchup, sambal, chili, and at least 3 different kinds of meat in it. tomatoes optional.

Hmm, this is a tough one. I'm going to say buffalo wings-- because there is no limit to the number of wings I can down.
