Wario Land series. I think it's sort-of popular, but it was overshadowed by Wario Ware in Brawl.

Big in Japan, but so unknown in the states we here in the west get denied the revamps and sometimes entire releases of the "Tales of" JRPG series.
This. I do adore the Tales series (if my avatar didn't make that clear enough), but it's none to popular in the U.S. of A.
Yup, I'm going to have to agree. Love the games but fans keep on getting shafted by Namco.

The World of Mana series. They are all cute and fun games. I just love them. Children of Mana being my favorite hand held and Dawn of Mana being my favorite console

I do love the Dynasty Warriors franchise and don't personally know anyone else that plays them, so even though a billion other people play them I guess I could call them unpopular. At least where I'm from.
Yep me too, love the Dynasty Warriors series, however, I have no one to talk to about it. The one friend who introduced me to the series doesn't even play it anymore :(

Oh well, Koei Warriors is still a good place to hang out with other DW fans.

Dead Space. For some reason, people around here don't really like it.

And Bioshock. People like the games, just not the pretentious members of its fanbase.

Halo, because pretty much everyone who only plays on a PC hates it.
Call of Duty, because... actually I don't really know why people hate CoD and love BF. I mean, both have a 2 weapon limit, both give you limited life (I'm ignoring the different health mechanics, because most medics in BF are douches), both are cover based and neither really change much. But most PC Elitists hate CoD, and I love it.
These both are fan base issues. Want to know why these games are hated? Because people associate people who play CoD and Halo with this:

And annoying 13 year olds. It may not be the case (I am not either of the two, yet still enjoy the games on occasion), but I have always believed this is the reason for the sentiment.

Valkyria Chronicles.
Sure. You say it's popular enough.

It's not popular enough to bring the third game to english speaking countries oh no! We have to be content with the animango influence uguu that was 2.

Man of war - best strategy game ever been made with features making it absolutely unique and non-comparable to any other game of spoken genre ... any nobody has ever heard. Seriously if you like strategy google it. MAN OF WAR aka Soldiers aka Heroes of the second World War. I am not joking.
Men Of War: Assault Squad. LOVED that game so much!!

My only hassle with MOW:AS was the fact that planes weren't included (granted, I can't see how planes could be included, besides those airstrikes).

Fire Emblem in the states. Im pretty sure its popular in Japan but I know very few who play it personally.
I love Fire Emblem, but I gotta disagree on it not being popular. Quite a few people I know play it, and while Nintendo hasn't exactly given it this best treatment in the states, I still would say it's fairly popular.
Definitely Fire Emblem. and no it's not that popular in the states. Otherwise they would have released the new FE DS game here, and until they do I will continue to hold a grudge against them because based on what I've read, you can make your own character and affect the story and more online stuff to do and just awesomnes.

*looks at other peoples comments* wow until i got here I didn't know of anyone who hated Bioshock Dead Space or Halo 1. I guess I can say i like those and the sequels for that matter (excluding Halo Wars)
I also like the Castlevania DS and GBA titles and of coarse Symphony of the Night . Don't really care for the older CV games and Lords of Shadow was one of the most disappointing games I've ever played.

Mount & Blade. Indie series of Action-RPG's, other RPGs that claim to be sandbox games have nothing on it. It's really hard to get into at first, but it's amazing once you figure it out.
Tack on "Warband" on the end of Mount and Blade and I'm inclined to agree.

Assassin's Creed, at least in my area. I have played all the console games and beaten them inside and out, and I have no one to talk about it with. Really, all my friends are not as interested in Assassin's Creed as I am.

Well in my local gaming community I would say the Legacy of Kain series. Most people around me (especially the younger ones) havent heard of it at all or only played Blood Omen 2 which is considered the worst in the series by most. So I love the series it just isnt popular around me at all.
And that is about it. Most of my favorite games and series are also popular with my gaming friends and their gaming friends and so on.

The persona series is considered unpopular, right? Or rather the whole shin megami tensei series, there are some great games there.
