Okami on the Playstation (I hated the Wii port, and don't get me started on Okamiden)
It's cute, has a sense of humor, has a sprawling, nonlinear world that feels suitably big but still rich, and a fast-flowing combat system with a really creative story and great mechanics (the Celestial Brush)

Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Earthbound (SNES)
Final Fantasy III/VI (SNES)

Chrono Trigger is an epic storyline told with a great time-travel mechanic.
Earthbound is a great story wrapped in a wonderfully bizarre setup and presentation style (and quite possibly the most battle themes squeezed into a single game ever).
Final Fantasy III/VI quite possibly (in my opinion) the best story out of the Final Fantasy series and by far the darkest story/setting in the series.

Ocarina of Time... do i have to say more? (& by extension Majora's Mask, but OoT is better)

Good Graphics (for it's time and now + in r in 3D now so whoopdie dingle do)
AMAZING Story
WONDERFUL Gameplay and controls (Z-Targeting FTW)
and it was just generally fun, something many games nowadays have trouble with.

ALSO: N64 was my favourite system because it was before the remakes became old and crappy.

I think my favorite game from any past console generation would be "way too many to freaking mention."

Devil May Cry 3

though I love it now for much different reasons then when I first played it (I used to play it on easy, now I play it on Dante Must Die!)
still in my opinion one of the best action games ever made.

Rewind to 2006. The Nintendo DS has been out for a few years and is selling like hotcakes, but over in Japan, one small development studio hasn't forgotten what came before. So, they release one last game for the console: its swan song, if you like. That game was called 'Mother 3'. You might have heard of it. Well, it also happens to be one of my favourite games ever. Sure, the story/gameplay ratio isn't as large as in Earthbound, but I happened to like the plot of this one better. It also has better combat, graphics, and it's the only game that ever made me cry before the ending. That's an accolade that I doubt any other game, regardless of its graphical power, will ever share.

(That was with the English patch, by the way: I don't know that much Japanese.)

Tough question. Either Zelda: LttP or Super Metroid... maybe Symphony of the Night... maybe Battlefront 2...

I can say with confidence at least SNES is my favorite console ever.
