Quite a bit, The few things that trump my love of games is love of music
Command and conquer series,
What can I say? Frank klepacki is an amazing composer. nothing like sending russian warbears fleeing with mind controlling psychos while "brain freeze" plays in the background or Spreading the word of kane through Freak'N laser beams while Mechanical mind blares. Mixing Metal and electro for some rockin' tunes

Touhou project,
My love of Touhou is no secret and I had extolled the virtues of it's amazing series wide soundtrack(and fan remixes) but in my opinion, the 10th, mountain of faith, has the greatest soundtrack for it's consistency(Though Subterranean animism and imperishable night soundtracks come a very close second). While the other games had extremely standout tracks in them, this game had a better ratio. Shame it's my least favourite game out of them all.

But one cannot dismiss the sound track of the official fighting games
Nearly all of them are Fuckin' choice

Reserved for Daystar
I have always been in love with oriental music, and hearing these tracks cemented that. Every song adding to the atmosphere for the parts they are meant to be played over. Truly masterclass, My explanation do it no justice

The Shin Megami Tensei Series,
From the Persona series to Devil summoner to Digital devil saga,
Their soundtracks have very unique sounds to them that are, Undeniably, awesome.
Destroying a psychedelic hippy angel to the trippy new world fool, to defeating the avatar of death to the appropriately named battle for everyone's soul, to walking around as Raidou while listening to that happening jazz techno track and even just the individual battles in digital devil
A very unique sound to this series and amazing all the way

Bit.Trip Runner
THE reason I bought this game was because of the amazing retro-SOUNDING soundtrack that didn't try to sound RETRO or like a throwback to an old game like most others and instead went for a bombastic soundtrack so good tthat I actually don't mind dying several hundreds of times a run as long as i get to hear them

-EDIT- First world problem: Forget to mention Morrowind, thinks he said enough already to justify explaining it. To Hell with it
Walking around Balmora while Road least travelled plays or Exploring the grazeland while listening to the serene Peaceful waters. I have not played morrowind in a while but I can still remember how they go and connect each of these songs to an experience in the game, which help made the game extremely memorable to me. Just hearing that heartbeat on the main menu as the main them comes on is enough to invoke a pavlovian reaction in me.
In fact, as much as I love Skyrim(never played oblivion), besides the main theme, I hated how the sound track doesn't stand out as much as morrowind did(Though I heard good things about the underground dwermer city later in the game).

Sonic Generations.

It's just not only awesome to play several levels in both a classic (2D) format and also in a modern (2.5 & 3D) format, but you also get two different remixes of memorable Sonic levels. The classic mixes of a level consist of a fusion of pop and rock, like the Classic Sonic series, while modern mixes are a fusions of rock/alternative and orchestra, like the more recent Sonic titles.

Here are just my favorite tracks/levels:

Obviously Mass Effect stands out with Uncharted Worlds and Suicide Mission being my favourites. Assassin's creed with the aforementioned Ezio's Family and Venice Rooftops is also excellent and who can forget the Metal Gear Solid series. The title screen themes of both Deus Ex: Human Revolution and LA Noire are cool and Halo's "signature" music (so to speak) is very good

Dynasty Warriors 4, easily.

A perfect mix of calm, classical Chinese music and fast paced, face melting guitar riffs that perfectly flow with the gameplay and deliver the perfect atmosphere for every situation...

...perfectly.
Yep. There's nothing better than taking on hundreds of soldiers to an awesome soundtrack.

I've got a few though.
Dynasty warriors series.
Samurai warriors series.
Fallout 1 and 2, and some tracks from 3 and New Vegas.
And the Time Splitters soundtrack

Gonna give it to Bastion but Aion also has a pretty amazing soundtrack. (Too bad about the rest of the game)

But honestly, the Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP has one of the best soundtracks I can think of off the top of my head.

As soon as I saw that you posted Act on Instinct, I grabbed for my TFD disc to reisnstall it.

Though not my favorites, I would like to add the Timesplitters series. Those soundtracks were quite awesome.

I love when this sort of thread comes around, my tastes have always updated each time.

Gonna have to go with an oldie this time. (A cover by Dunmeh, his stuff is good)

The "The World Ends With You" soundtrack is pretty modern. I listen to it pretty much every day on my iPod :p (Legally, it's on iTunes).

I can't decide on one specific soundtrack but you can easily take ANY Zelda or Sonic tune and it will be awesome. An example from each series:

Three way tie between Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past, or Final Fantasy VI. I can't pick one.

Darn, Dynasty Warriors 4 has already been said.

All the same:

Asura's Wrath had a great soundtrack, one befitting the game's epic scale.

There's three that stand out for me,
FF- X, best actual song i've ever heard that was made specifically for a game.

The entire Dynasty Warriors series, more epic guitar riffs than you can count.

And finally the X game series, everything in the soundtrack is amazing and creates a nice atmosphere (especially the background music for Argon and Boron sectors imo)
