Your Favorite Game Soundtrack?

Well, my favorite video game song would have to be in halo 2, I think the band was Breaking Benjiman.

I have a few songs the should have put into ODST, although I don't know which part of it...

BlazBlue. Its soundtrack, in fact, is what pulled me in, and started me watching the gameplay videos. I still listen to it while I play Burnout Paradise.

I also really enjoy many tracks from Shadow of the Colossus.

inFamous has a very interesting sound to it, but does not hold my attention too long. The ending theme is good.

I forgot about the Infamous soundtrack, which is funny because it's probably the best game I've played all year. It was really interesting because a lot of it was made with improvised instruments and real instruments played the wrong way. And even people outside of games liked it, which is why it was used in a recent episode of Top Gear. It's a good example of how good game music can be when it's something other than blaring rock music or K-Mart John Williams.

I love the Katamari Damacy and We Love Katamari sountrack. It really got me into Japanese pop music. I also love the soundtrack for Okami. Lastly, I adore the Halo soundtrack. Can't get enough of those space monks.

Metal Gear Solid 4 just seemed like a perfect mash-up of all of the greatest songs from the series. I also for some reson loved FFVIII soundtrack, it's not my favorite game in the series, but for some odd reason I just thought the soundtrack was amazing.

Quake 2, Doom, Morrowind, The Legend of Zelda series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES), The Bards Tale: Song of the Bard, and Legend of Mana.

Silent hill 2! Theme of laura and promise reprise are classics. And silent hill 4 "Room of angels" I used it for a drama piece and it is so haunting! Also the Little Big Planet soundtrack is aweosme!

For me it'd be Beyond Good and Evil. The Hyllian Suite and Home Sweet Home tracks are some of the most gorgeous music I've heard ever.

Runners up would be some of the classic Rare soundtracks, to games like Diddy Kong Racing, Perfect Dark, Jet Force Gemini and the Banjo games.

Hm, the more I think about this the more games I come up with that I'd like to mention... Just a few more then... Chrono Trigger, Lufia 2, Heroes of Might and Magic 3, Snowboard Kids (don't laugh, it be awesome) and Metroid Prime.

Donkey Kong Country 2, not a single SNES game has ever convinced me that it's music was better than these 3.
