Hey Escapist, I was wondering what your favorite games that include Dwarves are. I myself am a big fan of Dwarves and am pretty desperate for anything Dwarf related. So throw 'em out there!

Inb4 Dwarf Fortress.

I'd personally say Dragon Age: Origins (I would say Dwarf Fortress if it had a usable interface).

I think the most dwarfy of games is "Dwarfs!?".
That game is basically a dumbed down version of Dwarf Fortress.
REALLY dumbed down.
I think my favourite would be- you guessed it- Dwarf Fortress. It might have impossibly counterintuitive interface, but it's the part of it's charm. Community is absolutely amazing though. For example: when someone said "Lets add in tumbleweed.", the first question everyone asked was "How do we militarize them?". There are also people who colonised hell. And people who managed to kill every single creature on the planet by walking around as a single dwarf and throwing peebles at adult dragons.
Besides, what other game has Catsplosions? None i belive...

Was this thread made simply to see how many of us would say "Dwarf Fortress?"

Ah well, Lets add one.

Dwarf Fortress is all the dwarfyiness you need!

Heroes of Might and Magic V: Hammers of Fate. You get a whole Dwarven army to run amok with. You have access to dwarven brawlers, shield warriors and crossbowmen, bear cavalry, giants, and more.

I would even say EXTREMELY dumbed down, to be honest.

I'm sorry you had to repeat yourself. It's still my favorite Drawf game. Doesn't matter that it's a "dumbed" down version of Drawf Fortress. Still fun.

Maybe...but something just snaps in me when I hear people saying, that this thing is the best game with dwarfs when it's basically Dwarf Fortress with a single layer and pretty much all of the fortress management cut out and with fancier graphics. Being able to carve out a skull-shaped castle [sub](okay, you won't see too much of it's shape unless you use one of the 3rd party programs that show the game in full 3D, but the point is you can do that)[/sub] surrounded by an ocean of lava is one of the things that make DF so great (along with the fact, that building such fortress would take RL months and propably end up with the whole fort flooded with lava from inevitable leaks), while in this thing all you can do is watch those midgets dig around. Each and every single fort in DF has it's story. You get attached to those little drunk guys...

Let's see..
MMO: LOTRO
RTS: you can probably find a cheap copy of the BFME games somewhere.
RPG: Baldur's Gate (I've played Dark Alliance and loved it, people say they are the worst though)

Yeah, I'm out of ideas now.
