Heroes of Might and Magic V: Hammers of Fate. You get a whole Dwarven army to run amok with. You have access to dwarven brawlers, shield warriors and crossbowmen, bear cavalry, giants, and more.

Yes. I think it's the only one in the series where the dwarves are their own faction. They're pretty awesome, really.

I have yet to play Dwarf Fortress. Ergo, my vote is for Dragon Age: Origins. For one reason, and that is Oghren.

Some LoTR RTS for X-Box. Turned out to be an awesome game. And I think one of the Kingdom Under Fire games has them. COuld be wrong on that though. Ahh my forgetting of names and unwillingness to investigate at 1:30 in the morning.

I hate to repeat myself, but...

That game is basically a dumbed down version of Dwarf Fortress.
REALLY dumbed down.

I would even say EXTREMELY dumbed down, to be honest.

Ummmmm, it really isn't. It's more like Lemmings than Dwarf Fortress. In fact it pretty much is Lemmings but reskined with Dwarves.

I remember the stone shield thing, protecting your allies and what not. World of Warcraft dwavres are great too, I never really played as one but I recall one of the first quests you do is gathering ale.

I would say Dwarf Fortress, even if I suck at it.
