I have to go for the MKI Warlord titan, the new ones just don't have the character of these guys...

But the chainsaw would be there to kill other Titans in as outlandish a way as possible, plus there might be some background thing about voids protecting less against melee hits, but I can't remember. Because in 40k, why kill it with guns, when chainsaws are an option?
Correct, in Epic melee damage bypasses shields and doesn't allow an armour save, the chainfist ummm....hang on...*quick flick through the MRB* adds an extra d6 to your melee roll and adds +2 to damage roll aginst titans.

i must say that the YMIR mechs from mass effect are pretty cool, but they dont match the firepower of some of the above...

Oh Hello there....

My robot can regenerate himself, has superior alien technology, has morals and intelligence, and he can blast all your puny excuses of a robot... also he has a great heart and soul, and is resistent to almost all kinds of blasts... and if you happen to dismantle him, he will just reassemble easily.

Also some of his weapons are made from "Everything" piercing lasers and Nuke Blasts....

So... you guys were saying?
ummmmmm i don't know if you remember, but he couldn't reassemble ntil hogarth let the screw out the window. ya. his rebuilding is based on the compassion of others. humans are not a compassionate people. but as for firepower, yes, that nuke normally never would have hit him with all that crazy weaponery. also, that's my 2nd greatest movie of all time, so i'm inclined not to argue too much.
but you forget one simple detail.... when hes in normal mode, sure he can get damaged, and he has to depend of the amount of time to reassemble himself. Remember how he made that dent in hishead so easily!?

(Oh and the piece that hogart had, was making noise to warn the kid hes alive....)

But killer-machine giant is indestructible.... ballistic missiles couldnt make a single scrath on him, and even if they did he would just regenerate quicker and easier....

Can you compare the small dent he made from falling and what not, to the tanks blasts, and ships firepower that did absolutely nothing to him!?

Normal Giant is strong, but hes nothing compare to his Kill everything industructuble protocol.... (sorry for the grammar errors xD)...

Might I ask what it was like?

I made a few there myself, and so far my favourite has got to be the one I named Vanguard.

It had 2 sets of twin defender cannons with HEAT rounds on the blocky reverse legs, with a triple assault cannon combo for the cannon cooldown period. It was accurate at long distances and could stop other HOUNDS dead in their tracks. Armor was a bit skimpy, but I almost never got hit because of the cannon stun effect and range. My only real opponents were snipers, who had the extra range on me.

OT:

So many kinds of awesome

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, it's as tall as a galaxy is wide.

That's what I love about the series, it completely abandons the laws of physics for complete awesomeness.

i had a few some were real juggernauts with 3 of the biggest guns(DLC twin howitzers)which could bombard the majority of the map. others were quick little snipers (more DLC). others had 3 heat-seeking missiles and could easily take down 2 hounds but then be out of ammo.

the majority and the best were defender/sniper ones which used tracks and were VERY HEAVILY armed with armour on each side (including the front). Think of a box on tracks with some defender cannons poking out from the armour. saying that alot of the time i was the commander so i removed the top armour and some guns and stuck a radar ontop.

All this Battletech geekiness is making me smile. :D

Anyways, I'd go for the stolen Robotech designs, not the veritech (It qualifies as a space fighter by my definition), but the destroids:

OH MY GOD, I just remembered I still have that action figure here somewhere. Let the search begin!
I would kill for an action figure of one of them!

The Classic VF-1J Valkyrie from Macross/Robotech, just love my transformin plane mecha.
Ninja'd by this fine fellow.

Although if we need a truly GIANT mech, then I suppose the good ol' SDF-1 Macross will have to do:

Seriously, the damn thing has aircraft carriers for arms and a full blown city inside of it. How's that for "Giant" mech?

Damn, someone beat me to the punch. Anything in Battletech looks awesome but the Mad Cat was always my favourite mech.
Don't know if someone pointed this out already but I consider myself a qualified Battletech/Mechwarrior nerd, so I'm just gonna throw it out there that that is in fact a Mark II Madcat, which weighs 15 tonnes more than the traditional Madcat, and sports twin gauss rifles rather than the original's traditional ER Laser configuration.

Great choice though :D

(my hat is off to anyone else who also chooses mechs from the Battletech universe over those prissy lookin' gundam thingies with fingers and swords and pointy bits on their backs.) =P

Because the Eldar can find a way to make anything pretty.

Though if I had to choose my favourite of all time its a tie between this.

and this

You may be the first person I've ever seen choose the Blitz as their favorite of the ZAFT quartet.

Also, I love the Infinite Justice. It's like the designers were all "hey, do we really need a mobile suit that has body parts that DON'T have beam swords on them? No, no we don't."

And Western mecha are still boring and ugly!

I love western mechs as well as eastern. I think the western ones are closer to reality, but I love how mad the japanese ones are too.
