God of War. Although I never got much time to play it I loved being able to brutalize the ever loving s**t out of anything that moved.

Gears of... wait, LAST gen?
Well i suppose that'd be Manhunt, thats last gen right? Hell I can't think of any but my fav gory game for this gen would be Gears of War 2

I'll go with Eternal Darkness as well. So many creative things were done to you...or the other victims in the game. Otherwise, I'd go with Mortal Kombat.
As much as I love God Of War, Shadow of Rome takes the lead with the violence. You can actually 'aim' for the violence, GdOW is a bit more 'fuckin' 'ave it!'
