I remeber when i first saw this the first time i had ever picked up a final fantasy and instantly knew i was going the experince something special in this game.Hazy said:

Final Fantasy X-2 obviously! In all seriousness probably Final Fantasy 8, Uncharted 2 and Half Life 2.
Gotta be World of Warcraft, Civilization 4 (mostly because of the music) and Tomb Raider 6: Angel Of Darkness.
I would say WoW, but in my opinion nothing beats the stunning beauty of those cinematics.
So for me, cinematically I think Fallout 3 as well, but awesomeness-wise the Alien campaign opener in the new AVP.
Just the way No. 6 (the Alien you play as) pops out the poor guy, but instead of securely going into the storage container, as was clearly planned by the human captors, he burrows back inside the corpse and emerges from his mouth to avoid capture.

Mass Effect 2's is kind of a hybrid, as there's a small touch of gameplay in the opening, but from the point where:
Was just amazingly awesome.
The collectors attack the original Normandy, all the way to where Shepard is losing air and enters the atmosphere of the planet
