Hearing Gollum curse a blue streak was trully the last great thing to emerge from MTV.

[This is a contender for me, but the most heart wrenching scene for me, short of the very end at the grey havens, is Pippin's song and the suicidal charge of the knights of Minas Tirith in Return of the King.

I'm not ashamed to admit I had tears in my eyes when I first watched it in the movies.

This part always has me teary eyed aswell.

Billy Boyd really came into his own in the third movie. Too bad you don't really see him in any other movies these days.

The books are ok.. tobad it got a bit to much Detail in it.. but still.. not a bad book.. But the movies sucked.. come on.. It got over rated.. Just like Twighlight.. I injoy star wars better becaus it was a Nice Si-Fi Action adventure... I think Lotr could of done a bit more.. And Most ppl dont Like wha i got to say here -_- I dont mind.. Becaus its hard to admit you got riped off by a movie you paid so much for to see it..

2 points. 1. you can tell a great deal about a person from their name. the anime basis of your name doesn't help your claims of my being a fanboy. 2. how exactly did I get ripped off by the films? They were filled to the brim with content, epic choreography, huge ass fight scenes. Romantic sub plots, tales of gallantry, valour, betrayal etc etc. In no way does it rip one off, you just don't appreciate it.

1. taking a name from another thing instead of coming up with it yourself is where I drew my point, it's origins matter not but the fact that you weren't original enough to come up with your own was the point.
