I don't know, I feel most of my answers would just be couples I think are cute together/have good chemistry. I'm not experienced with romances AT ALL, so I don't know what would constitute a genuinely good love story.

His and Her Circumstances is a pretty good one, I think. It's a 26-episode long anime about a boy and a girl going steady. There's no typical anime hijinks, with her berating him for whatever and him being goofy and awkward, no risk of outside interferance breaking them up or misunderstandings creating strife. It's just them being together, getting to know eachother and themselves, and watching their relationship grow. And it's not played is if it's a romance that will last till death do them part -- The show makes it very clear that one day they'll probably split up, but that it's okay since they've gained greater insight of themselves because of their time together.

Well, I know people are going to groan about me bringing it up again, but Frozen has to take the cake for me.
Firstly, it's about familial love rather than romantic love & I'm sick to death of romantic love stories.
And the 'act of true love'... seriously, *that's* true love.
And it explains what true love really is, in a way that the target audience can understand.
Yup, for me #1 has to be Frozen.

First one that comes to mind is The Illusionist. An extremely well done movie, and I'm surprised I don't hear people mention it more often.
