I've been working with a local hard rock/metal band in writing their lyrics and making their music video. They're not great, but I'm always happy to help someone, and I do like a lot of their song's lyrics. Reminds me of Disturbed mixed with Skillet, they're all about personal pain and how truly heartless the outsiders are.

Personally, I just wanted to see what your favorite line of dialogue convinced you that a character was absolutely fucked in the head, or just was particularly terrifying. It can be from music, TV, comics, games, what have you.

I'm partial towards, "Do you wanna know how I got these scars...?" and "I'm not at fault. The world is"

Earlier songs by KoRn used to be my favorite when i was a depressed teenager.

Apart from that i can give you a whole list of lines from Evangelion.
My favorite would be "If I die, I can be replaced".

Incredibly iffy without context

Teach him only you are right
Not necessarily a lot better with context

Max Payne 3 had a lot that I was really fond of. But this one I enjoyed particularly.

"So I guess I'd become what they wanted me to be, a killer. Some rent-a-clown with a gun who puts holes in other bad guys. Well that's what they had paid for, so in the end that's what they got. Say what you want about Americans but we understand capitalism. You buy yourself a product and you get what you pay for, and these chumps had paid for some angry gringo without the sensibilities to know right from wrong. Here I was about to execute this poor bastard like some dime store angel of death and I realized they were correct, I wouldn't know right from wrong if one of them was helping the poor and the other was banging my sister."

Oh Max, you so silly.

I don't know if it's this kind of line but there's a scene in Silent Hill 3 where Heather/Alessa tells Claudia

"Listen. Suffering is a fact of life. Either you learn to deal with that or you go under."

In the context of what both Alessa and Claudia have gone through in their lives, that line is very fucked up.

Pretty much all the Bond one liners [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BondOneLiner].
There's nothing like throwing off a one liner after you've just killed somebody to let the audiance know how messed up you really are.

"(After disemboweling someone) "I'll say this for him: he had a lot of guts."

"I killed a man, 'cause he killed my goat
I put my hands around his throat;
He tried to reason with the sky and the clouds
But it didn't matter, 'cause they can't hear a sound."

I'm not a fan of what Mastodon's been doing lately, but I gotta admit that Curl of the Burl has some rather impressive opening lyrics.

'Would you really feel any pity if one of those dots stopped moving forever?'

Take a guess, I think I've brought him up once or twice before. :3 The most messed up thing about it is that I can understand his mentality, I can see why he does the things he does and I feel it also reflects upon a segment of humanity; the more distanced we are from people's suffering the more apathetic/indifferent we feel about it. In a similar kind of vein I also really like this quote from Hotel Rwanda:

'I think if people see this footage, they'll say "Oh my God, that's horrible." and then they'll go on eating their dinners.'

Pretty much any line from Fight Club, from the narrator, Tyler or Marla and even some from the space monkeys. Though my favourite is probably from Marla, "I want to have your abortion."

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I'm not sure if this is what you mean but I doubt anyone knows the real lyrics for this song.

I'm gonna go for the second last line of dialogue in John Dies at the End, the book.

"You bored a stranger with your stupid ass story and he pulled out his cock and whipped you with it like a stage coach driver"

Really sums up the book well. Wait, do books count in this thread?

This one from one of the Discworld novels.

"Give a man a fire, and he is warm for a day.
Set a man on fire, and he is warm for the rest of his life."

There was a movie, whose name I unfortunately have forgotten in which someone is being lead into a mental ward. One of the other patients is standing just outside his own room and greets the newcomer by quite cheerfully saying,

"Welcome to our humble little madhouse. I'm sure you'll fit right in."

A classic sociopathic/megalomaniacal line from Batman Beyond (a show rife with seriously deranged individuals), from none less a figure than Derek Powers AKA Blight:

"And behold, I shall be a blight upon the land, and everything I touch shall wither and die."

When you're a walking environmental hazard that looks like the love child of Skeletor and a glowstick, you know you're messed up.

Hell, if books count it's about every other damned line in that book. Blimey.

OT: Most anything said by Mr Niska in Firefly. Don't question his reputation.

My personal favourite Bond one - can't remember the film - is when he's dancing with some lady and the bad guys are watching. She says something about her brother coming to help. He just casually throws out "Your brother is dead. Keep dancing!"

I liked it so much I started using it as a pub quiz team name.

OT: I've always rather liked "Hi, I'm Ragged Robin - I'm nuts". It says everything you need to know, really.

Repeated in the latest Dresden Files novel, Cold Days, and noted as being the maxim Harry tries to live his life by. The Tao of Pratchett, as he calls it.
