Toss up between finding three diamonds (after having lost my first two in a magma accident), and luring my first creeper into my Culling Field Trap (TM). Oh wait, looking at the completed Culling Field Trap (TM), which includes a viewing gallery and easy door based access to harvest the drops of mobs.

You know whats was a funny part? When I sliped and fell a hundred feet and died, after playing for 5 FUCKING hours and having to start the whole FUCKING game again.
Uh, Minecraft has a respawn system. You never die for good.
But I lost all my progress and items. And I struggeld for 5 hours before to get all that stuff.
Your items are on the ground where you died. Your progress is untouched.
.........I didn't know that......thank you.

On a server with friends, I just completed (at least for now) a huge, awesome giant robot/city hall with a sword in one hand and a nature orb-thing in the other. And it kicks ass.

my favorite moment happened to me couple of days ago. after building a Lair in a cliff face and taunting creepers from my newly finished balcony. i started thinking about if i should build a door to that balcony incase something fell down from higher up. 15 seconds after that thought i turned around to walk back into my lair to make said door and creeper fell and exploded behind me.

that singular moment inspired me to build the tower which is still work in progress in progress unfortunately.

The day I realized that the monsters were added into the game for the sole purpose of giving the player the false idea that there is a "goal" in the game and thus decided to just turn them off (put the difficulty level on peaceful), never having to worry about creepers spawning right outside my house or having to spend half of the game in a mine simply because its dark outside.
I've not played Minecraft, but you're telling me can turn enemies off? I now believe I will buy this as the building is what I wanted, not the combat.

When i finished the cart system between the area i spawn in to my house. Which is a pretty dam big distance. No more running through fields of creepers to get back.

Killing a whole nest of spiders on top of the cliff above our house. \0/ Yeeeeah! I am the Queen!

Bow and arrows are way more effective than a sword, in my opinion. :/ Then again I do lag a lot..

Yep. Go into options and change the difficulty to peaceful. You still take fall damage and burn from lava, but you won't have to worry about enemy mobs.

When you die, all of your items are dropped. If you don't retrieve them within roughly five minutes, they vanish.

The moment i created a second base deep underground, with a natural bit of lava inside it flowing from the ceiling.

Deciding this was dangerous, I walled it up, but then had a change of heart when i saw how dark it had gotten.

when i removes the last block, i smiles as it flowed back into it original place...and then kepted on going...engulfing my entire base in lava... including the chest holding all my good items.

This was the moment i realised that if you don't think ahead it ends badly.

I now have my favorite Minecraft moment, right here on the Escapist.

I found this absolutily MASSIVE cave, it had EVERYTHING, Coal, Iron, Gold, Lapis Lazuli, redstone, and even DIAMONDS! The best part is, the entrance was right next to my spawn!
It's so awesome when you find a cave like that. It's the ultimate minecraft fuck yeah moment.
