Damn.
If anyone else has seen "Sukiyaki Western Django" or "Casshern"
could you help me out here?
SWD would be an old west, probably Red Dead Redemption style, but would have bullet-time for samurai using a katana... Something like that.
Casshern would be... well wth I don't even. -_-
Casshern would probably look like this:

But more action. If developed by Platinum games (creators of Bayonetta and Vanquish) then it would be a win.

They did for my second and third favorite movie, and both of those sucked. (Die Hard and The Fifth Element) and I don't know of my favorite. But I doubt wheter of not The Lion King would make a good game.

The Prestige.
Hmm, I don't know, kind of like Heavy Rain I guess?

Children of Men.
A third person game where you don't have guns at your opposal, so escaping and avoiding the enemy would be the most sensible solution. With a "Kane and Lynch" style camera following you. That'd actually be pretty cool.

A game based on Serenity? That has the opportunity to be either really REALLY awesome...or absolute shit.

Tropic Thunder video game?

FPS with fake guns? A game where you couldn't tell who are the enemies. With little mini games where you blow stuff up with McBride and try to get throughout the day with hook hands with Notle?

Would totally buy that...

Hmm... I could actually see that working. It has fighting sections, chase sections, an space battle and a creepy investigation section. Would be rather short though.

OT: They already made a game of Fight Club, for some reason they made it a beat em up which made it look like they hadn't seen the movie or read the novel.

District 9

Plays like survival horror where you almost never get a weapon, but while you do, you're almost unstoppable.

Sorry, they already did a game based on Fight Club and it was rubbish.
Yes, but one where they don't completely miss the point... Would make their heads explode if they tried to not just follow the movie. OK, yeah, let's not do that...

A well made 28 Days Later game would be great. Probably not the greatest online zombie shooter, but a great horror game if they get the atmosphere right.

Children of Men.

No idea how the gameplay would work, but the camera angles reminded me of a third person shooter.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail: The Game? That doesn't sound good. I guess the gameplay would be like a third person open world action game with plenty of things that only Monty Python would think of doing. Perhaps a minigame where you play as two swallows carrying a coconut across the ocean?
Also, I was quite fond of Sunshine. That could probably work as a survival horror title, although I bet it would suck.
Also, a Twilight Zone game? Each level could be a different episode with different gameplay styles, all narrated by someone who sounds exactly like Rod Serling. Of course, they'd have a lot to try and live up to. It should also be in all black and white.

District 9, I was thinking of a really intellectual game, where you get to explore the storyline though different characters like in Heavy rain. You will need to do a lot of negotiation, yet it will have action as well. Do to the fact that you will need to do a lot of talking, it might be possible for a good player to avoid conflicts. Also it will have a good and evil system (A GOOD ONE) where doing bad things gives you benefits such as the ability to avoid combat, while doing good gives you rather more conflict or nothing.

For instance you are in a fight, some guy who is on your side broke his leg. He is useless, yet he has a quite a powerful weapon that will make combat way more easy. The guy won't give you, so the only way to get the weapon is to kill him, that is bad karma. Also 18+ different endings Etc. The irony here is that the "Bad" thing to is always the easy way. Being the bad guy is easy and you will end up as a human hero, or an alien revolutionist, controlling the city and killing every human in your way. Or die ether ways as a good guy...

Since I started pissing on the good side, I was thinking of that Rev rant episode http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXXHGno1vAA . If you play as a bad guy you get 3 more hours of game play. Also, you have only one save file, you have to take consequences.

Combine it with Bioshock styled game play and you got a heck of a blockbuster...

Terminator 2
don,t know how that,s going to translate into a game.
maybe something like run&gun and and various escort missions.
although it could also be set in the future where you play a member of the resistance fighting against the robot,s.

although I also liked Inception it might work as a run&gun and heist game where the worlds are randomly generated.

Inception. It would be an online only 3rd person co-op shooter with an LBP style level editing and publishing system.
I agree, it would be interesting to hear the "Game wihtin a game" aspect.
They have those it's called Mini-games.

The only reason I'm being this nitpicky is that the Simpsons Game did this joke before Inception ever existed.
I thought it would be along the lines of being an open world game, but then devles into an FPS as the action gets better.

And Minigames suck.

Well, my favourite film is battle royale, so i think it would transfer quite well to a videogame.

probably some kind of massive multiplayer deathmatch, where you start with random weapons, only have one life, and fight to the death on the island. you also have to avoid dangerzones!
