The game North by Northwest might be interesting. Evading police: driving a car drunk: Detecting hired goons in a crowd and evading them (perhaps like Hitman?): word games with James Mason: orienteering around North America. The soundtrack would be boss too.

Could be interesting, certainly. Lots of different gameplay mechanics to explore and invoke.

Damn.
If anyone else has seen "Sukiyaki Western Django" or "Casshern"
could you help me out here?
SWD would be an old west, probably Red Dead Redemption style, but would have bullet-time for samurai using a katana... Something like that.
Casshern would be... well wth I don't even. -_-
Casshern would probably look like this:

But more action. If developed by Platinum games (creators of Bayonetta and Vanquish) then it would be a win.
eh... i don't think that would be like casshern.
I'd see casshern being more... industrial. the cinematic viewscapes in it are very industrial. that looks like a Final Fantasy fledgling.
>_>
not that casshern wouldn't be. Just, not that... I really don't know of a game that captures the casshern feel.

All my favorite movies already had games based off them of varying quality.

Kind of surprised there weren't ever any games based on The Dark Knight. Maybe they didn't want to steal Arkham Asylum's thunder/couldn't find a good sound-alike for Heath Ledger in time. If they did, expanding on the Batman Begins game's acrobatic gameplay and fisticuffs would be a good start, perhaps with a 'chaos meter' replacing the 'fear meter' indicating how panicked and hostile the civilians in the area are. It could certainly be longer than Begins with all the stuff Bats does in the second movie.

Fight Club
I can see it working. You play as one of the anonymous members of project mayhem, doing Durden's bidding across the city, before being torn apart in the unravelling of the conspiracy; Bioshock style

Inception. It would be an online only 3rd person co-op shooter with an LBP style level editing and publishing system.
I agree, it would be interesting to hear the "Game wihtin a game" aspect.
I was thinking more "level within a level" with the player designing levels that people trying to steal information (XP/perks) must go through in order to get to the safe where your Secrets are stored.

If they can get three layers down you're kicked from the game and one of the people who got in can impersonate you. Although i don't know how this will work with headset chat.

ok two movies the great escape witch would have a kind of la noir feel to it but have trading as a key aspect but still with digging forging manufacturing mini games. this is till you got to the open world where you would be in like third person kind of sandbox escape. and back to the future BASED ON THE ORIGINAL THREE MOVIES NOT THIS EXTENDED UNIVERSE STUFF, well like any decent action adventure game you know

Fear and loathing in las vegas,

probably make it a puzzle game similar to the layton games but make some puzzles require you to dip into your *ahem* "stash". you could learn what the different effects would have on the puzzle and you could have some pretty crazy combinations.

that or The Big Lebowski.

it would probably be similar to the original max payne game. really stylized narration with some pretty creative locations to explore. I might call on Bioware to make it just because I think that the characters really sell the story and Bioware usually do characters justice.
Lots of Wii bowling too. Fuck it dude. Let's play wii.

OT: You have to sell property to keep your job, and win a Cadillac but there is an evil way to win because you can ransack the office and steal the Glengarry leads and sell them to a rival real estate agent.

It's that or a point and click adventure where you have to help a Czech resistance leader and his wife (an old girlfriend of yours) escape Nazi occupied North Africa.

Pretty cool thread actually- Mine would be Porco Rosso, so arcade flight sim, I guess. Bonus if it has a map to travel around like Sid Meier's Pirates!, but it's got to be cel shaded.

Second would be Memphis Belle, and I'm sure there are games all about being a B-17 crew, but I can't imagine it would be worth a whole game just about that.
