Blade Runner: The Final Cut.

The style, aesthetic, grittiness, the soundtrack, the pacing, seeing the enemies side, the realisation of a world that isn't too far from our own, the cyborg topic and...

That speech at the end. Oh my god.

The Running Man & Red Dawn, yeah both movies are from the 80s and aren't really alike, but I think it was just the whole "...peek into the future, alternative reality thing" that did it for me with both of them. That and the gratuitous 80s style action and violence.

It's between Gran Torino, which is made purely out of awesome, Batman: The Dark Knight or the Jason Bourne-series.

Jeeez, the originality of this thread is overwhelming my senses.

I LOVE TWILIGHT: NEW MOON. The acting is absoloutely superb, and I felt the characters were incredibly complex, and impeccably developed. It's like I could connect with each and every one of them on a deep and personal level. The storytelling is second to none, and the directing is just beyond belief. Seriously, have you ever seen cinematography of such a high grade? Stanely Kubrick and Francis Ford Coppola need to go take some classes from Chris Weitz, I mean DAMN.
that made me laugh so hard. 8)

Alien. hands down. so good.

Fine.

Of all time: Evil Dead 2 or Dawn of The Dead (don't ask me to choose)

Of the past decade: Avatar.

Done.
I expected you to say something along the lines of that, you're becoming predictable, Furburt.

Anyway, I concur. Avatar is easily the best recent film. I can't make up my mind about a list.

Super Mario brothers. The production values were excellent, the casting director was spot on with his choices (Bob Hoskins being the definitive Mario), the script was sublime, the story was ingenious, the directors gothic and haunting take on the mushroom kingdom was inspired and showed a rich understanding of the underlying implications of the video game series and also...

Scarface.

I could write an essay about how the film is so epic and awesome, and the effect the film has generated in pop culture.

Al Pacino is the man!

I don't have a single "favorite movie of all time". I do have a few movies that I consider as good and flawless as movies can get, but can't choose which one is "more perfect"...

One of them? Kill Bill Vol. 1.
