Edit: I always liked the intro music for BF1942, too. And how could I forget those awesome songs from the early C&C games, particularly "Mechanical Man" and "Hell March"? "Hell March" is probably still the best intro-video song ever. We want war, wake up!

Visitors from Dreams by DMA-SC?

It's the main intro from Darwinia. The entire Darwinia OST is pretty stunning to be honest.
Auron's theme from FFX was pretty good, but that might just be from my positive associations with the character (i.e. being the only competent character in that game )

I'm suprised no-one has suggested One Winged Angel from FF7, although i think some people do go a bit over the top when talking about it.

Fallout 3 had a lovely soundtrack if you were able to turn off GNR. Very atmospheric.

Legend of Zelda had some great stuff, My favorites are Ballad of the Windfish and, I might be spelling this wrong, it's been awhile, Saria's Song.
